I wanna say I could beat 1:17 also, I have no idea how good of a lap I actually had.
I’m sure with a better driver I think that 1:17 would be beat.
Well 1:17 is my next goal

I think with proper tires 1:18-1:17 are possible with that car…
Edit: Silver thats horible that dave put the pad in backwords…lol if it makes you feel better I was out of pad by the end of day… the Boarder Patrol even asked if it was safe for me to be driving when he heard me pull up to the booth…lol
it was nice to have SOMETHING to make for playful competition… but it took along time to run threw the few cars we had there… it wil be nicer when he can set up 2 or 3 cars on the track at the same time…
It was a silly mistake that ultimately didn’t kill me, so it’s all good 
But I am going to give him a hard time about it.
The border people once asked me to do a burnout while I was at the guys booth. I was like “um… gonna have to pass on that.” Guess it would have proved how American I am, though.
cass, what tires do you run? was that time on slicks?
i do not run slicks, only street tires.
That time was on my race tires, which are V710’s.
Yea the timing system was awesome. I wish i had the drift box going to see what my best time was overall. I know one of the times I was out there I was really in the Zone. Then I made my own rally stage, and I’m afraid of that turn now lol
grand curve scares teh shit outta me actually… i alwasy ease through there… never done it full out

For those who were not there (and didn’t figure it out yet) we bought a timing system finally! I only had part of the system yesterday, but it was enough to get some simple splits / times.
I’ll post more in a bit as I’m dealing with a family crisis at the moment…
I have that turn down. I can come out of it at about 80mph.
Sunset sweep scares me, IF i have the perfect line I can get a nice bite off the inside and pull it through, just by letting off the gas a little.
But if i don’t get the bite, I find myself sideways at about 80mph, Thankfully I don’t go off there.
I still have to figure out Carousel, the kink scares me so I’m braking late and trying to recover through the rest of the turn
grand curve at wide open throttle is a freaking blast. You have to really know your car and trust your tires. The Boxster really excels in turns 4/5 and the carousel. Those are my favorite parts on course.
I’m planning on going to the next one. :tup: to the timing system.
