Seriously, I thought you were one of the more wiser people on the board.
I guess you are just another one of the “AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!” people.
We have made mistakes, admitting to them is the first thing to do when trying to correct them. A lot of damage in world opinion was done in the last eight years and we are going to have to have the world on our side if we want to win the war on terror.
His European tour was a success and helped bolster our view to the rest of the world.
I know you don’t care what the rest of the world thinks because you are a closed minded person who believes the world ends 20 miles off our coasts but for the rest of us its not only important to have the world actually begin to look up at us again and not down on us but it feels good too.
Stroked, your opinions get more and more off base with each post. You really think the US should be apologizing to Mexico because Mexico has no control of what comes into their country? Seriously?
Yeah, having you tell me I’m not one of the “wise” members of this board really hurts.
EDIT:
PS, his European tour was a complete failure. He wanted two things, more support for the war in Afghanistan and a pledge for the European countries to agree to stimulus packages similar to what the US is doing. He got neither. He looked great as the campaigner in chief though, smiling like a jackass in front of crowds I guess he doesn’t realize can’t vote for him.
Hey we didn’t start the fighting their nor do I think we are responsible for their own gov’t not being able to take control. But if we are illegally supplying the weapons for this war then I think that something we should try to control.
If we had a better handle on our firearms then they wouldn’t fall into the hands of drug cartels. And again, where is the NRA calling for action on American guns falling into the hands of Mexican drug cartels?
I’m mean is it our countries fault that the weapons being used in Mexico are funneled illegally from the US? Yes.
I’m not going to take responsibility for their war but we should take some responsibility for the American products fueling the war.
You see two guys fighting in a bar and you hand one of them a knife you don’t think you are apart of the fight now?
You honestly think any of that shit was going to be done over night? Its going to take a few more summits to repair the damage done to European relations in the last eight years.
Where’s Mexico apologizing to the US for not cracking down on their citizens smuggling in drugs leading to people dying of OD’s, etc? Or kidnapping US business people/tourists for ransom money?
