just look at all the penalties that kaleta has drawn this year, i don’t think we’ve even scored on ONE of those powerplays. the energy line gets under their skin, draws a penalty… and we can’t convert
yea that is so true, that line draws tons of penalties, max draws a bunch too, we DEF have to take advantage

It’s decisions like putting Stafford on that line, breaking up Kalinin/Pratt, the rotating captaincy, continuing to put a forward on the point when we’re giving up shorthanded goals, the Miller can do no wrong attitude while healthy scratching Vanek or Afinogenov, and continuing to play Peters when there are better healthy alternatives that have me thinking maybe it’s time for a coaching change.
I’m going to go put on my flame suit now because I’ve suggested some of the problems may be Lindy’s fault and that’s almost sacrilege in WNY.
we play boston twice. so we hope they lose one of the 4 games not against the sabres. Then the Sabres beat them twice. and hope the capitals lose twice also.
All while the sabres get 6 straight wins…

i think this season has been an evolutionary learning process for lindy as well. he has made his share of mistakes, as have the players.
however, i think that the vast majority of blunders over the last year or so have been made at the strategic organization level, primarily with quinn and golisano. for the most part, i think darcy has been handcuffed by reluctance from above to commit to key players early enough in the process.

Agreed there, but it doesn’t do any good to say I’d like I new owner, one willing to spend to the cap. He’s said openly it’s just a business to him. A coworker and I have a bet for lunch that the Sabres won’t need a cap on season tickets next year. IMO they won’t be able to sell as many as they want next year.
