I can not stand it anymore how lindy puts a majority of the blame of our losses on other people sometimes.Tonight on pominville and hecht who have been working their asses off lately ( well more so pom’s but thats not the point), and not a word was said about miller. Every game where miller lets in a few soft goals that could have possibly ended up costing us the games, lindy seems to blame other people especially the D.Personally for having 3 of our veteran defense men out of the line up, i think our d has done a hell of a job and did tonight.Miller gets over looked all the time on games like tonight and it bullshit.He is an average goalie and we all can see that.Lindy just has way too much faith in him and its shown that faith can only take you soo far. Theres nights when miller fucks the game up and needs to be told he sucked and that if he wants to remain our starting goal tender hes going to need to change that, and it just doesnt happen.That is the only way miller will ever grow into a better more confidant goalie. Oh well we need some serious change to occur in the off season.
on another note, how good has mike weber and sekera looked since they’ve been paired??
Honestly, do you people not watch the games? How many easy shots were there that buffalo didn’t get in net? How many times is Roy going to play the Post Game instead of making the shot? When it’s back in our zone for a majority of the time, of course Miller is going to get tired. And don’t even tell me our D isn’t causing problems. Miller would have to make half the saves he does if the D was doing their job. And give aways to the other team… don’t even get me started…

Ott 1st goal…really nice shot…stoppable, but damn it was nice
2nd…Pommers completly set that up, he was playing the other point on the PP and did a half pinch and just sort of swatted towards the puck as 2 Sens skated by him…
3rd…complete screen, would be lucky to stop it
4th…complete screen, by 2 Sabres…Miller couldn’t see shiiitt
5th…screened again, could have been blocked by Tallinder but he lifted his leg, which I guess is somewhat of a natural reaction with the booming slap shot coming…
I would have to say that if that short handed goal didn’t happen they wouldn’t have lost…the Sabres totally gave up at that point and sat back and took what Ott dished out. Such a sad state of affairs
If you’re going to keep Miller at least get a goaltending coach who can help him with high shots. Clearly everyone in the NHL has watched enough tape that they know that high side is how you beat him. Almost every shot Ottawa took was top shelf.
Then bring in a coach or special teams coach who can get the PP firing consistantly.
Finally, slap that C on someone’s jersey and leave it there.
Last nights game was a great synopsis of this season though. Started out slow, great surge in the middle, then totally fell apart at the end.
+2 very well put, yea what happened to miller being one of the best goalies in the league with break aways and shoot outs?, hes turned into the worst in the league now something went wrong.We also do need a solid C and a leader.
so i’ve come to a conclusion about buffalo… alot of this falls on the powerplay. how many times this season have we had a ton of momentum going, get a powerplay to either put the game away or get back into the game, only to accomplish absolutely nothing and give all the momentum right back to the other team. its not even about scoring on the pp, we don’t even get into the zone or setup, and worst case like last nite give up chances/shorthanded goals. thats killed them ALOT this year
word ^^ whens the last time we scored on the point on a power play? i cant remember the last time one of our d men even ripped a shot from the point on the power play. We really could use jaro back
