Games like last nights frustrate the hell out of me, as I’m sure it does the players, too.
Buffalo completely dominated Boston the entire game, but they couldn’t get anything past mother-fucking Auld. I really felt Miller should’ve been pulled after that second goal. Last night had to have been his worst game this year. There wasn’t much he could’ve done on the 4th goal, but 3 shitty goals in 1 night is way too much.

the second goal was just bad. First one was a give away right in front of him can’t blame him too much since it was a terrible give away.
Elite goalies make up for bad give aways. It looked like he wasn’t even trying to play last night. I’m not saying he blows or anything, but he needed to take last night off.
He should have had the night off considering he had to spell Jocyln for 2/3 of the kings game.
Plus if his ankle injury would have been more serious it could have been a disaster.
They really need to get rolling again as we saw flashes of solid work and good play before their west coast swing.

I always considered miller good but never elite.

Exactly. He is an above average goalie who steps up his game in the playoffs. And while that is a very good thing, he needs to play his best NOW if the Sabres are even gonna have a chance to make it to the playoffs.
But a lot of people in Buffalo think Miller is a top 10 goalie in the league, some even think he’s top 5. The latter part of that is just ridiculous.

Those are the band wagon fans for ya, the same people that are already classing trent edwards with peyton manning…
i never thought miller was great. not saying he’s bad, just saying he doesn’t really stand out for me. he lets in a LOT of soft goals

I’d give him top 5 for breakaways, maybe even top 2 or 3. He’ll make the miracle save then let in two from 50+ feet that he really should have stopped.

In the shootout, he’s definitely one of the best, but 2 of the goals resulting from turnovers were, in a way, breakaway goals.

the thing that you got to remember about those turneovers ist hat they dont give a goalie time to set like a breakaway would, ie setting up the proper angle…
so he couldnt come out and take away half the net

Lundvquist would’ve made those saves.
That’s all I’m going to say about that.
Miller looking sort of mediocre tonight

Thats because he is mediocre.
he always has been, he couldnt even stop a puck the first season we had him.
i shouldnt even say We, im not a sabres fan.
They started the wrong goalie when they finally had a good team.
Then they almost go to the cup, and trade the only players who matter.
So go philly, Biron will always be better then miller.
and they made dumb trades
thats why philly is in the top five and sabres are barly 5 from last. /rant
buffalo will never win anything ever again, in the sports world.

Yeah because Biron was the missing link for Philly. I forgot how well as a starter he did while he was in Buffalo.
Philly being good has nothing to do with signing Briere, Gagne, and Timmonen, Hartnell, and Smith :picard:
