yea there are alot of people who are way too hard on lalime… he’s played very well in most games if you actually watch them
he is a solid backup, good goalie, we will will be fine, as long as D keeps up theyre solid play. Millsie will prob only be out 4=5 days if that, theyre saying sprained ankle so shouldnt be to bad.
if more people said this about Miller, the team wouldnt suck.

we say every sabres backup goalie sucks and then they end up putting in solid efforts elsewhere when they get a chance to actually play more often than once every 20 games. Think dwayne roloson, ty conklin, et al.
Not true…Biron was phenomenal, as you can see by his latest play (minus that goal he gave to Crosby to win the game). That was our best goaltending situation I think.
Biron was a special case because he really wasn’t seen as a backup goalie here, he was more of a starter that happened to be replaced by a younger guy and stayed on for a year as a backup.
Ok I can go with that. But with the Miller/Biron combo it was tough to beat us in the goaltending department. Lalime I think will be fine after he gets comfortable in the net.

i dont know about anybody else…but id like to see him in net. He’s been doing great on portland… obv NHL is much different, but still would like to see him play
You mean the same Biron who’s been outplayed by Nittymaki all season ? I still think Biron is better suited as a backup or goaltending duo player rather than a full time starter… in that sense then yea that was Buffalo’s best situation, but at the same time Lalime is not bad, he’s been left out to dry more often than not when he’s been playing, and he’s made a fair share of saves to keep the Sabres in games they had no right to even be in. The only backup really lately who left alot to be desired was Thilbault.
Also I don’t think it’s all Lalime. The sabres need to adjust when he’s in net. They seem to slack off a little when Patty is in net.
Luckily the next game isn’t a division game, but at the same time we need all the points we can get.

I think Biron is starting goaltender quality. He just went through a rough patch, but that seems to be the case with a lot of the nhl goalies. lundquist hasn’t been killing it like he normally does, nor has price, etc.
miller is out with a high ankle sprain, low severity. x rays show no bone damage. Shouldn’t be too long
and I think lalime will do fine. He’s a solid goalie, moves well technically. much better positioning than thibault. thibault moved like shit, was always out of position, his depth was always off, etc. besides that game when we played the habs he never did much for me, I’m much happier with lalime
He is nowhere near ready for the NHL…I watched him at the AHL game here and he had a ton of natural talent but NHL skill players would eat him alive.

If the D can do a better job and not let as many shots through to Lalime he should be fine. I read somewhere that Miller faces the second most shots in the league. Not many goal tenders can be successful under that reality.
