I understand the argument people have, but he has 4 assists and is one of those players that is a pain for the defense to handle. I notice very often that we have a very good scoreing opportunities after Max gets the puck, simply because the defense spends so much energy chasing him.

Especially after lastnight when he made it a little harder. I think Miller played good last year, we just didn’t back him up.
Not to mention all the chances he created 3-4 minutes before the goal by Mair. I’m usually the 1st one to say that he needs to be shipped out, but he has had a really good year so far. Everyone needs to just stfu and enjoy watching Max NOT hurting the team.

I’m still half convinced that he struggled so much last year because of the wrist surgery he had 2 years ago. Just about every player who has had that surgery said it takes about 2 years to fully heal with full range of motion. You take a puck-handling offensman like Max, tie up his wrist a bit, and it’s going to throw off his game for sure.
Being bounced from line to line and landing on the line with Peters and Mair probably didn’t help much either.
And Hasek started off as a backup for 2 teams before he made his name in the NHL. What’s your point?

I really like Marty as person, in fact, he was on my softball team this summer when he came back from Philly after they lost to Pitts, but he is not better and never will be better than Miller.
