miller has been playing big-ice and getting caught on the short passes. but it’s a double fault as the d-men haven’t been tying up that man. The one off teppo he had no chance on. The giveaway in the slot, he was out to face the man in an emergency situation and the pass went through, same thing the next time.

the further out you are the further you have to go to get centered for a rebound or pass shot. it is however the d-men’s job to take care of the open guy. so I guess i would place fault on both

while I do think miller had a bad night and the last goal (poss the last 2, was falling asleep when the 2nd one went in) was his fault, i really dont think by any stretch of the imagination this can fall wholly on the shoulders of the goaltender. defense has a huge part in it. btw i hated lydman 2 years ago, didnt mind him last year. getting back to the dislike stage again
