I really don’t think Lindy is the problem. Miller is on fire some nights and sleeping in the net on other nights. Vanek hasn’t scored too much in the past couple of games, Pominville has done nothing all season (exluding the shootout last night). Maxi Pad is still a bum, Kotalik has been quiet, and I still think Spacek is a waste of a defensman.
On the positive side, Miller as of lately has really been dominating the net, Gaustad is always throwing hits and getting in front of the net. Roy seems to be an overall great player, he can score and he can backcheck really well. Butler has been a really big asset to the team. It seems like he’s been playing with the team all along and makes smart plays.
I think Lindy needs to continue benching non-performing players and replacing them with Pirates. We’ve got a second place team down in Portland full of talented guys waiting for some NHL ice time.
We really need a physical power forward who can score as much as he can hit imho. I mean what team dosent need that player, but I feel thats a huuugge piece to our puzzle.
Physical Forward = Goose. What a great game he played last night. Too bad he doesn’t have just a little more scoring touch on a regular basis otherwise he would be the guy that you’re talking about. I think hes close though.
Works been kicking my butt, the game stayed on, my eyes did not stay open, I missed the second, awoke sometime in the 3rd, fell a sleep missing the overtime/shootout.
Commercials and Intermission are what have me sleeping.
No idea why Tallinder felt like he had to hold the Florida forward on that play. Booth was already 12 steps ahead of both of them with Lydman inbetween when he picked up the penalty.
this is the buffalo bills fan mentality right here. every year we feel the need to replace a coach because the team loses and someone has to be blamed. I understand that we haven’t had the greatest coaches, but we need to give them a chance to make changes and adapt to the team.
Lindy knows how to coach his team. They can’t win every game and certainly don’t lose them all. What more can you ask from him? When the team loses, he gets on them and makes practice hell. When they are winning and moral is good, he does what he can to keep it that way.
It’s not his fault if the players don’t play together and aren’t motivated when they are on the ice.
