So Pens play thrashers and they are on a six game win streak, hopefully we can stop it. any word on if Malkin is playing, I know he was sick yesterday…

they said he was playing tonight

ya i heard he was. the first line is tearin it up, so hopefully they can keep it up, which takes some pressure off of geno.

i think we should win this game. i hope kovalchuk has a goal or 2 but Pens win

I hope the get off this hot streak…Thrashers are @ 6 in a row now

I will be there tonight, should be a good game. Go Pens!!

anyone else go to the Brooks Orpik autograph signing at steel city collectibles tonight?

Matt Cooke will be there on the 31st!

I’m not the world’s biggest Madden fan, but he’s got a good Crosby v. Savard article on his website.

nice to see sid being the aggressor.

I listen to him on my way home from work each day and he was talking about that yesterday. I like that Sid showed up Savard and put him in his place. Savard is a great player, however he shouldn’t talk trash if he isn’t going to back it up.

fucking clown

"Malkin has disciplinary hearing with the NHL
Saturday, March 21, 2009
By Shelly Anderson, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Penguins center and NHL leading scorer Evgeni Malkin had a disciplinary hearing with the NHL by phone after the team’s practice today at Southpointe.

The league is investigating Malkin’s hit on Los Angeles winger Wayne Simmonds in the final minute of the Penguins’ 4-1 win last night at Mellon Arena.

Any suspension handed down to Malkin would be expected before the Penguins’ important Eastern Conference showdown with Philadelphia at home tomorrow afternoon. Malkin has not missed a game this season and tops the NHL with 104 points.

Malkin, carrying the puck over the Kings’ blue line, threw a body check into the approaching Simmonds, whose head appeared to take the brunt of the hit. It prompted players from both teams to exchange words after the final buzzer.

More details in tomorrow’s Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

so let me get this straight, Jack Johnson is fucking MAULING Malkin while malkin is NOWHERE near the puck and is trying to get away from him, to which they didn’t blow the whistle until it got bad, and assessed them both penalties (wtf?!). Maybe they ought to watch that whole game, like when Simmonds charged Matt Cooke, or the whole game Simmonds was taking cheap shots. And Malkin is the one to get “the talk.” Something doesnt make sense here. If i remember correctly the hit in question was Simmonds going after Malkin, not Malkins fault Simmonds is a fucking moron.

well that sucks…

as for yesterday, it be nice if we hit the net…

I thought that it was fun to watch. I totally think that Geno got a little snack afterwards though, lol…

Did Hal Gill actually play a good game tonight? I haven’t seen that since he became a Penguin.

this was on the penguin’s website, so i’m considering it “on topic”. :blue:
