Fleury’s glove hand did look slow/weak last night. He, however, cannot be fully blamed for Mr. Gill’s out-of-position’ess. Being solely responsible for -2, you’d figure he could at least 1) Move bodies from in front of the net and 2) Never skate through the goal crease and get caught behind your own goaltender. Hal Gill cost us huge last night. Not to mention our breakout still sucks and all these yinzers still wearin Steelers periphinalia. Not even a pre-overtime trip to the truck to grab the secret weapon (Russian Pens Jersey) could counter the horrible luck of a white out. We should be alright tonight. It will be a close one as usual with all this intense playoff hockey going on now.

I agree on Hal Gill…on the PP he was not even attempting to clear any bodies in front of the net…the second one he looked like someone who had no idea how to play hockey. That first one really pissed me off b/c Semin took a hardcore dive to get that PP…he has been diving all series. Anyone see late in the game when Semin tried to dive in front of the net and Orpik had his blade of his stick on his upper chest and looked like he was going to kill him for diving again? That guy has been showing some restraint from killing that little faggot…if this was the reg season I would bet Orpik would have wooped his ass by now.

I can’t figure out the refs in this series. Against Philly, you kinda knew what you were going to get, the calls were more consistent. This series is all over the place. one night they are calling interference, the next night they are not.
Is Ovechkin that good that he never gets hit or is our team afraid to hit him for some reason? I saw a few times last night when ovechkin should have been picking himself off the ice but our player just let him go.

Just thinking…may be stupid…but do you put Sykora in for game 7? He is known for big goals and I am sure he will be motivated after sitting…not to mention fresher than everyone considering the back to back games they played. If we keep the 7/11 system it would a tough call on who to sit…Satan has been playing very well…maybe Adams? Oh well maybe it is a bad idea and we are playing well w/o him.
Maybe its just me, while both are great at PK, but I feel like Dupuis generates a ton more offense than Craig Adams, not to mention is probably one of the fastest on our team… I would have a hard time sitting him over Adams

Pete cant play the PK, plus i wouldnt sacrifice some grit right now, cause we seem to get out-hit as it is. plus, id rather have someone that can dig on the boards. with the guys we already have on the ice, if we cant get enough offense from them, then we dont deserve to win.
i dont think ive ever seen a team play so hard over the course of a series and still struggle so hard to get the puck in the net. we are doing everything right except get it in the net. props to Varlomov, but at the same time, weve had him down and out enough and still couldnt put it in on numerous occasions.

I don’t think I will handle it too well if the penguins lose. I can take them not getting into the playoffs and probably would have been fine with a loss to Philly. But to lose to Ovechkin would be killer. That arrogant, cheap hitting, pile of fuck does not deserve to move on to the next round.
