Anyone catch the “Beyond Blue and Gold” show last night after the game? Pretty sick team event Pegula set up with his own personal cars at the drag strip in Florida.
Lindy Ruff will be the Dallas Stars head coach. The announcement comes just one day after the anniversary of the infamous “no goal” incident involving Brett Hull. At least Derek Roy got out of Dallas before Ruff got there, otherwise that could have gotten ugly quick.

Also Jonas Enroth signed a 2 year deal today with the Sabres. No talks between Vanek or Miller’s agents and the organization. Sabres most likely won’t move up in the draft since Regier is stating that teams holding picks 1-5 are “settled in”.
1.25/yr for Enroth is a steal. Good signing
I’m happy w/ it. I really don’t think we will see Miller again. I’m ok with it because I think the team needs a new leader, someone who is going to step up to the plate without all the drama.
I don’t really know about “drama” persay, but Miller has a great hockey mind and isn’t afraid to call it like he sees it. Best attitude for a team? Perhaps not. If Miller satays, I’d be okay with it, if he goes…same thing.

Miller is worth a 3rd round pick. I’m sure Darcy will fleece a second out of it.
I know Miller’s on the trading block but I’m sure the Sabres won’t be satisfied with any of the offers they get…then in the 11th hour they’ll give him away for a bag of pucks I’m sure lol. I don’t know what to think of the Enroth signing, I guess at $1.25 million it’s worth it but at the same time I’m not sure what he’s worth hanging on for. He is not going to be their future, so to me it would have made more sense to bring Leggio up from Rochester to back up for well under $1 million. Then they could develop Hackett with the Amerks for 1-2 years and bring him in as the starter. But maybe that’s their logic with only signing Enroth to a 2 year deal. Either way, Hackett has a ton of potential.
1.25 is backup money. Any more than that they get out of him is a bonus.

Miller and Vanek can both go and I doubt we’ll notice much of a difference. It just sucks that it seems like they’re rebuilding for the future through draft picks so it doesn’t look like they’ll make a trade for either to get an actual star player.
GOD NO! He is well past his prime and is now becoming injury prone. We have Leino still, I say no to Briere.
