I rooted AOKP JB on my S3 yesterday and while the features are amazing, I saw my battery life drop pretty substantially. Wondering if it was a bad build or JB itself.

Windows 8 is horrible and the Android tablet stuff is still another year away from being awesome.
Android is so frustrating. I really hoped that they would have the kinks with OEMs and updates figured out by now. And some semblence of a competitive iPad product. But alas, another year has gone by with Nexus devices being the only ones to get upgrades. And even at that, the VZW version is way behind the other versions…sighhh.
And yeah, windows 8 is fucked. It’s completely unintuitive and ugly.
hrm. i wonder how much people would say windows 8 was copying apple/android if it was immediately intuitive? Just curious. Has anyone used it yet?

android was lucky to have grabbed any market share. the stars aligned for them. they got a flagship device highly marketed by moto/vzw on a network where people were wanting an iphone or iphone-like device. if the iphone had been on att and vzw the whole time, then android would be nothing. now that they have some momentum, though, they will be able to compete.
