Coworker let me try out his Note 2 and I thought it was ridiculous. Can’t imagine the Note 3.
Im loving AOSP on my GS3 sooo much!!!
On CM10 Stable and Lean Kernel with pimp my rom settings. pretty good setup for me so far. I just wish the 4.2 camera/gallery worked on this phone without having to modify the properties file. They say if you modify the properties file to say your phone is a Nexus it will work. But that seems kinda sketchy to me lol.
are you on verizon, att, or sprint?
Verizon
Old screen shot.
today.
I am using this app called “Lux” and it allows you to change your brightness settings below “0” because the gs3 is just way too bright at its lowest brightness in a pitch black room. but this app seems to mess with my screen shots too… must be some sort of desaturating technique.
CM10 was nice… but it had a few bugs - NFC and Blue tooth that I found annoying.
So I found this ROM Jelly Beans build 6 - Touchwiz based themed to look like AOSP. I think it’s the perfect balance of TW and AOSP. You still get the TW camera and the gestures and custom actions some people love. But all the AOSP cleanliness and UI perfectness… Now I am just making up words… Similar battery life, this was day 1 so it involved a lot of downloading music and other apps and stuff.
I will say I miss two things about this rom, quick reply from notification bar and expandable notifications. But this ROM is super stable so far, so I prefer stable over those two features. Plus the TW camera is really nice to have (this ROM lets you flash the Note II camera!!) and comes with 4.2 keyboard.
Edit: the new radios are really good too!

I also pimp my roms - App store.
Now the Nexus 4 16gb and 8gb sold out fuuuuuu
Found out Swiftkey Flow is pretty terrible, especially compared to Swype.
Yeah I’ve played with a lot of swyping keyboards and none of them work for shit except for actual swype, yet swype works really well. It’s weird. The stock aosp 4.2 keyboard supports swyping, but even that doesn’t work well.
I love the 4.2 keyboard, I never come close to any of the letters I want and it always magically knows what I want.
Swiftkey flow is supposed to work more with full sentences. It doesn’t work half the time and says fuck it, in the middle of me swiping a sentence. It’s auto correct is pretty shitty too. Maybe I need to adjust the style between “Precise” and the other less precise version.
<EDIT>
Swiftkey sale right now:

What do you guys think about strait talk? Tired of paying $100 a month. Att coverage sucks anyways, south towns never have signal.
I think if you’re unhappy with AT&T coverage in WNY you’re going to be really unhappy with anyone else.

People complaining about coverage it tends to be phones more so then ATT etc
I live in the South towns and no signal issues ever.
Messing around with google now,is their a widget that shows your cards instead of just being a search bar?
Check out www.cerberusapp.com. Basically allows you to control your phone if it gets lost or stolen.
