BBM is about as useful as push-to-talk
Text messaging and email are both basically instant, I see now need for another redundant messaging format.

I have several people I talk to that I only have their PIN/BB email. Some people are more apt to give that out since they can control your ability to contact them.
That’s not taking into effect the little things I like about it. Delivery/read indicator, ability to add files easily, etc. The fact its encrypted end to end without a way to intercept is a big plus to me as well, so I can talk about cutting up hookers with brendan while scheduling the next shipment from columbia without worrying.
Plus, it’s a data service, not a carrier service.
Not to mention the groups (shoutout to the BBM nyspeed group!).

The fact that all cell providers charge extra for text when you have a data plan is absolutely fucking absurd. BBM gets arouhd that and works amazingly well. Would be the biggest reason to not leave my BB
