EVO is a great phone i would consider switching to sprint for it but i cant wait till august when my contract is up.

that is the manual update file for 2.1 on the droid so you dont have to wait
I dowloaded it, and it does nothing lol.
sorry i should have posted this, i was assuming people knew how to do manual update and it does work cause i am using it right now

Edit: Works great, phone seems to be a bit faster/smoother, especially with turning on the camera as compared to the older version.

I tryed forcing the update and I went through everything and it didn’t work. And since the update was supposed to happen within the past few days I figured I would just wait. Maybe I should try it again
did you follow the directions i posted? no one else had any problems doing it
did you read all of the output on the screen? There was probably an error of some sort. Probably something silly too (like the extension was messed up or something)

ya it said there was an error. on that turorial it said that it would get an error then blow right past it.

I was away for the weekend and missing all the manual update stuff…was pretty happy to wake up sunday morning to an automatic update.
