My order has been processed. Supposed to get it in 2-3 days…maybe sooner since I got free overnight shipping.
so it looks like N1 will not be coming to verizon now that the incredible is out
well its prtty much the same device plus some improvements so really no big loss for verizon. I just dont see the point of a cdma n1 with the evo coming to sprint.
Woot, phone is in, up and running, very sweet so far!
my power button on my droid basically dont work right anymore so i was going to go to verizon about it but what happens to my paid apps if they give me a new phone do i have to buy them again or are they backed up somewhere with your google account?
try mounting the phone and looking through the storage?
Gizmodo & Verizon Android App Directory:
Google App Store knows what you’ve paid for already, you will be able to DL for free
good to know cause i was just going to just save the versions i have now and put them on the new one but i know i would not get anymore updates if i did that
The Incredible is pretty slick so far.
Mine is on the truck. Probably will have it around 2:30. Fed ex always comes here late.
pdanet really needs to release a linux based client. I just had to build a VM in order to tether off my laptop. pita.
Opinions on Handcent? Thinking about using it to replace the default SMS/MMS dealio.
i use handcent over stock
Just installed Advanced Task Killer. OMG nice. Took me from ~25mb free to 115 free. I’d imagine my battery life is going to be WAY better.
I just switched over to handcent…they could use some more conversation themes but it works nice. If you’re the type that doesn’t like spending time customizing a program, stick with the default app.
I also have the power widget installed on my third screen, so I can turn bluetooth on or off quickly as well as wifi. I keep my screen dim, unless I’m using the GPS, or some other function that benefits from a nicely lit screen.
be careful with the task killer…these can start to close out programs that need to be open for things to work. ive seen people have issues, including myself, where no calls come in, not getting any texts or voicemail. So just keep an eye on that.
x2…I had problems with my alarms…I just unchecked the alarm clock and it’s worked ever since.
I don’t actively run the task killer. I just open it up and kill off the programs I dont want running, then I kill off the task manager itself.
wow so different than bb…
well OBVIOUSLY rob
