Seen a lot of chat about problems with too many text messages going undeleted. Does handcent delete texts after XX days? Is there a way to set them to purge? I’d like to keep something like 30 days of messages.
i use handcent, lots of customizable options but can be buggy at times. you cant set it to delete after XX days there is only an option for the number of txt’s you want to keep ie. 100, 200, 300. just download it and mess with it, its free so who cares
BBB definitely manages mail faster and better so far. My exchange and gmail are taking 10 minutes for mail to come through. Is that normal? Also I don’t think Im getting alerts when the phone goes to sleep. Has anyone encountered that ?
get Exchange by Touchdown, $20 well spent…seriously. There is a trial version good for 5 days too. My messages come through faster than Outlook on occasion. Never had any slowness issues with Gmail.
my gmail is pushed right through as soon as i get an email. sometimes it actually gets to my phone first before actual gmail on my pc.

Thanks tuner! Just downloaded and installed and it works great.
If anyone doesn’t know how to install these apps here is how:
- Go to Settings >> Applications >> Check the “Unknown Sources” box
- Download the .apk file of whichever game/app/widget you want
- Mount your SD card via USB connection to your computer, and put the downloaded .apk file anywhere (I chose the root). Once the file is transferred you can unmount
- Install a file manager (free) from the market place. I chose the Astro file manager
- Once installed navigate to the .apk file and choose to install it.

well exchange stopped syncing completely and I tried touchdown and it works. Is this an issue with anyone else? Seems like The native program should at least work but instead it quit working yesterday and honestly even though touchdown works it is really not looking that good when the mail is displayed. This is a deal breaker if the mail requiires me to jump through hoops to make it work consistantly.
