Not sure if anyone else with a hero has this issue but Picture mail doesnt come in correctly, It comes as a “download” not a workable thumbnail. And youtube a google owned site and app, I have to click the icons to watch videos numerous times. Suggestions other then throw it against a wall or sprint sucks? Firmware is 1.5, which from what I hear was supposed to be updated but since then I hear its not happening.
Picture messages are sent like that on the Droid also.
the 2.1 firmware has been out on the hero for about a week now lol. you can get it off of the sprint and/or HTC site.

CLEAR YOUR TEXT MESSAGING OCCASIONALLY.
It will make your phone sooo much faster lol. I had like, 100 threads of max text messaging. It was getting sorta sluggish when I tried loading my texts.

I just got my first android phone, glad to see this thread.
Got a hero, not exactly the newest phone but considering I’m coming from a treo with palm os, its a big step up for me. I love how small it is, too small in fact. I picked up an otterbox case just to make it a little beefier. Amazed with the amount of things it can do.
Looks like I have some catching up to do in this thread.
EDIT: did not know the evo shot 720p video, that may have swayed me to the evo but its too late now oh well.
