I just was playing with chrome 2 phone. It not only will launch a website right to your phones browser but you can also google directions on your computer and launch right into maps and navigator if you choose it. This is something my GPS would never do and holy shit it is awesome. I love this OS. I can’t imagine what is in store for 3.0
Ok. Now I have a question about why Skype, Amazon, city id and other apps just open on their own after I kill them? Why can’t I delete those stupid ones that came with the phone? And on the X what is the best way to save battery life?
Are you syncing mail apps? Have weather widgets?
I bought this guide mainly to support Kevin Purdy who works for Lifehacker and is a local Buffalonian.
I have the weather widget open and I think I have the mail one open also.
try changing the sync time to a higher interval…maybe every hour or two depending on how urgent the mail is. Make the weather widget use a static location rather than GPS
How would you change those? Ive been trying for alittle while now. Also have you heard anything bad about launcher pro and Home switch?

Sorry. This is my first Droid/Smart Phone.
Don’t waste your time with that shit, just get an extended battery.
I’m gonna sell my old phone and buy that. Will I be able to use my Carbon fiber case with that in?
Doubletwist and Rindroid are prob the best apps Ive found so far.
^what do they do?
Double Twist is a replacement for the stock music player. It works pretty well except there is no force close or quit, you have to pause the song. Ringdroid is used to get ringtones I think…I just use iTunes :shutter: to make my own. I’ll make a tutorial on how to do so.
mini squadron is a pretty fun game. Check it out.
i have launcher pro+ and love it but does get a little slow on my droid but i doubt there would be any problem on the x since it is a lot faster
I have launcher pro (paid) and home switcher. I have yet to go back to the original home except the day i dled launcher pro because you should absolutely remove all icons and widgets from the original home panel and I forgot to do so when I first installed.
it runs very quick on my X and I have all 7 screens running with widgets and icons on all of them. (no live background for me though for battery purposes)
It does have a couple quirks every now and then when you tilt the screen but it goes away when you tilt back or sometimes you just catch it in a weird transition
you have to root to uninstall them
also on battery life i turned off my auto stop on my advanced task manager and i got a huge boost in battery life
My brother just scooped up a Moto X and apparently it came preloaded with swype or something similar. Any way to get this on an un-rooted incredible?
No.
Figured I just thought maybe one of u knew a trick or two…
Where do I go to shut the auto stop off?
