Super user my ass. More like mediocre user.

I’m suuuuuper, thanks for aaaassssssking

I tried that. Downloaded a terminal emulator, figured out to type “SU” since it forgot to mention that, but then when I type “adb shell” it comes back saying “shell: not found”

What is that command supposed to do?

adb shell is only used if you are connecting to your phone from your computer (via the android SDK).

You already have a shell, so just skip that one.

OIC

So what’s the over/under on me bricking this thing? Maybe I’ll just leave well enough alone.

I dunno…I mean what was the purpose of rooting? Just to remove a couple of pre-loaded apps? Did you backup your ROM beforehand?

if you back up your ROM then you can always just restore if it all goes bad for some reason

try this, go to the market and download root explorer ($ .99 highly recommend this app use it myself can use this to umm “copy” paid apps), then go to system/app find the apk you want make a copy of it put it to your sdcard just incase something go wrong then go back and rename it to a .bak in the system/app folder

for example the amazon mp3 app is com.amazon.mp3.apk

change that to com.amazon.mp3.apk.bak

Fuck no. I’m a cowboy.

As for why? I should ban you for even asking for a reason to fuck with a gadget ya homo.

But yeah, it was to uninstall crapware. When I see apps that I don’t want and can’t uninstall sucking RAM my OCD flares up.

amen.

lol :highfive:

worst case scenario, head into the verizon store and put on your stupid face

“My cousin took my phone and did something to it…How do I get my email on this phone?”

I actually think Verizon would be cool about this.

On a side not we had a sprint rep come in and leave an Epic 4G with us to play with…it is nice!

I would just go to a certain store and be like “Oh herro there Mr Manager. I’m just going to set this 12 pack of Arrogant Bastard Ale down over there. So my phone broke itself. How do I fix?”

I highly recommend anyone who has the original Droid still and is rooted to run the bugless beast v0.5 rom, it is a lot faster than the ota update with a few nice features too. You will not be dissapointed I always run the bugless beast roms

except I did that earlier this afternoon, and now I can’t find angry birds OR twitter in the market

as did i when i was last on here, just got around to posting it now though and i have no problem finding either in the market

also anyone know if there is a bigger battery for the droid that fits without needing a new battery door?

Do a Force Quit and Clear the Cache…then try.

no dice…I’ve tried everyhing

I’m glad I backed up my previous setup, I’m a few hours away from reverting back to that

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

YES! IT’S FIXED

had to hit clear cache AND hit the clear data button

I have angry birds back, order has been restored in the universe
