I downloaded easytether from http://85.17.230.229/forumdisplay.php?f=800, works like a charm and no extra charges.
pdanet right from the android market is supposed to work well too. I haven’t tried it yet.
Has anyone replaced their home internet service by using their phone tethered to the computer? With TW continually raising their F’n rates I’m strongly considering doing this. Anyone see any drawbacks with this?
It does work well, but you have to get the pay version to get on SSL enabled sites (for the noobs, thats anything with an https on the front of the url).
Or you can just “root” the device and get Wireless Tether and turn your device into a free mobile hotspot.
Speed sucks donkey balls. You should tether now and see if it stays online. With easytether i had to reset it a couple times in the hour or so i used it. I can’t imagine relying on it.

That’s a violation of Verizon’s terms of service. People doing this and swamping the network is the reason that AT&T capped their data plans at 2gb per month and Verizon is surely not far behind.

So after downloading the update this morning, my phone has been acting up. It actually runs slower with alot of lag and some of my programs don’t even work. It has been shutting off randomly and its very annoying. Hopefully this is just temporary.
