That sucks. Mine may have those issues, but I don’t use fastboot and haven’t tried vibrate yet. I’ll check it out tomorrow.
My #1 concern is the battery, of course. It was pretty bad today, but I’m sure I’ll get it back to reasonable.

Gingerbread has been leaked for DX and D2. No root as of yet but running very smooth and very fast.

I am debating on getting the HTC Thunderbolt or holding out for the Motorola Bionic. If the Thunderbolt’s battery life is as bad as the Incredible, then Bionic FTW
My battery life is similar to what I got on my Incredible. What makes you think the Bionic will be better? Does it have a much larger battery? I doubt it will use less power.
it is suppose to be a bigger battery and it has a dual core processor which means a little better battery life
Bigger battery would definitely help. Not sure how dual core would help though, maybe just that the processor itself consumes less part, regardless of whether it is dual core or not. I’d imagine running two cores would take more power than one…
2 cores allow you to run slower clock speed per core reducing power
Ah, cool. I thought I had seen that they were going to be dual 1ghz, but I may be mistaken. Hopefully battery life gets better across the board. I’ll be due for another upgrade at the end of this year, so I’d love to see some great new devices coming out!
Wild. Stock gingerbread on droid-life benchmarked higher than mine OC’d to 1.2Ghz running Liberty 1.5.
well it is a 1ghz dual core processor both running at 500mhz
I noticed the Thunderbolt has more RAM but the Bionic has a faster processor? Which is better…?
Right now, the one that exists is better. My understanding is nothing, right now, will take advantage of the dual processor. But down the road it’ll be nice to have, as long as the memory is adequate.
Battery life looks a ton better on the Bionic…
GB now available prerooted for DX. I oc’d to 1.2ghz and scored over 2000 in quadrant at low voltage. This build is screaming fast even without oc’ing.

Uggh. Fine. Off to download.
lol just think, now you can stream your music to your phone through googles servers. just have to download the new music app

i dont really see a need for anything more than 512mb of ram on a phone really. unless you love apps that run services
What kind of services…?
services are things that constantly run in the background, like a music player or a program that monitors things. you can see what services are running on your phone by going to settings>applications>running services, the more services the more memory is used.
new before you get all worried because you see a lot of services running and low memory you should know that the OS terminates services which it deems unnecessary when the OS needs memory for other things. In most cases they are terminated then when the memory is back available it is restarted which is in essence why task killers are just pointless and do more harm than good
Blah. Moto crapware and seems pretty slow. I’ll play with it overnight, but something tells me I’ll be going back to Liberty ROM when 1.75 comes out tomorrow. Liberty, overclocked, with launcherpro on top = win

lol like 90 seconds after I concluded that droidx overclock won’t work on 2.3 jrummy tweeted that he updated it to work with 2.3. Creepy how connected my world is. I need to unplug and go for a walk in the woods.
got a link to the gingerbread for droid X?
Head to www.mydroidworld.com there are posts on the front page about where to go from there. Im running ADW EX launcher with the desktop animations, and I think its extra smooth.
