Our Phone tech told us the Sprint guy would buy back our phones for $50 a piece. I told him that’s highway robbery, especially a brand new Atrix and an iPhone 4.
If it was up to me I’d gladly sell it to you if you were interested, the phone is fucking bad ass. I’ll have to see what they want to do though.
Gingerbread probably wont be out till late '11 or early '12. The latest update on the atrix has bumped upload speed 3x-4x. I don’t push yahoo so that doesn’t matter to me. Battery life has been pretty consistent, usually 2 days out of a charge. Still love the phone after a few months.
is anyone tethering there phones? I would like to have internet access at my shop. Tried to get PDAnet but apparently verizon already squashed that. It looks like I cam download it to my computer and then to my phone? Anyone using this?
I used it once a while back on my brothers computer. He connects wireless and I didn’t have the driver yet. Used PDAnet to tether my phone to his computer and it actually worked nicely. If You’re connecting laptops and stuff at the shop, it will probably get real slow, real quick. PDAnet does require a client on both the phone and computer in order to work. A [INSERT CARRIER] hotspot might be a better solution.
pdanet definitely still works on my droid I’m sure you can still download it somewhere. USB tethering is included in 2.2 and seems to be available but its not working for me atm.
Well despite being standoff-ish about going from the almight Atrix to the Epic, it’s actually not too bad. The Epic is indeed running 2.2.1, and works much better with exchange then the Atrix…MUCH better. The Samsung UI is however less desirable. I quickly switched over to the Zeam launcher for a more minimal and faster interface. The phone also cam preloaded with a bunch of shit apps (to be expected), it came with a lot more bloatware than I expected. I guess I’ll be rooting it after all. The physical keyboard is actually quite nice and easier to type with than the original Droid’s. The phone itself is large, thicker and taller than most phones on the market. I haven’t really tried out the camera yet, so I can’t really comment on it. I’ll probably do a better review on my actual website.
I had to install pda planet on my pc and brought the drivers to my shop computer and on my personal laptop and so far I’m very impressed. I installed version 3 apparently it blocks verizon from seeing the tether. Either way it works great amd wish I knew about it a long time ago.
So I picked up the G’Z one commando from GeeHee. I’m liking it so far. coming from the casio C721 to a rugged smart phone I rather impressed. I haven’t had it n my pool yet, but I have been playing around with some of the cool stuff thats on it.
One thing that is bugging me… I can’t get my notification tone to change. I have changed it in settings and its making the same sound.
Other than that
