LOL Nope.
So wtf? “Device memory is below 5mb. Do you still want to continue?” I’ve only installed a couple of programs. I think I must have accidentally a big file somewhere…

What phone and OS? What applications? I believe Viigo is a mem hog…
Apps stay running and sucking memory? Is there a task manager that shows what’s running and how much memory it’s taking?
I’m trying youmail again. It sounds kind of cool. So in addition to what came with the OS (like viigo, slydial, operamini, etc)
I uninstalled documents to go and installed a newer release with excel.
-Google Mobile
-Google Maps
-Today Plus Theme
-Weathereye
-Youmail
-Blackberry App World
-Personal Assistant
Holding down the BB button should give you a list of what is running in the background. I’m more familiar with the storm though…
It is very possible to switch applications and leave a trail of running apps behind you. I did it for a while with my storm, leaving the browser open etc etc. It’s a double edged sword. The OS is designed to multitask, which is great, but if you let too many apps stay open, it bogs things down.
To fully close an appl, use the BB button and select Close.
alt+ BB button gives you a list of whats running.
and to optimize bb memory…
lol, thats stuff I left on there.
Weird. I thought I ditched everything when I ran the OS upgrade. I thought I unchecked the “save everything” box or something. Oh well, I’ll ditch what I don’t use.
So how do I get back to my Verizon voicemail if everything is automatically getting forwarded to youmail? Do I have to temporarily turn the forwarding off?
no idea, i dont use that rubbish. of course, I dont really get calls anymore, just texts/bbms and emails. I’ve trained most people to do as such.
Should be just calling *73 to un-forward VM
Why doesn’t alt + bb work for me?
my fault. alt + back button
Because you touch yourself at night. Sinner.
someone’s gotta do it.
I’m playing with them, but the vymail interface to youmail sucks. It just checks for voicemail every 7 minutes so by the time it would know you’ve got one you’ll have already been alerted by youmail, checked it, and deleted it.
Unless I’m doing it wrong?
lol
Nevermind. The hell with it. It’s a really neat idea but too cumbersome to be useful. Deleted.
 Fair enough. I changed mine to sync every 1 minute. Seems to be speedy enough, close to as fast as Verizon VM. I just wanted a visual based VM without having to pay $3/mo.
Yeah, visual voicemail would be very hand, but youmail just isn’t it for me. If I had a ton of voicemails to manage it’d be worth it, but it’s just a pain in the ass when I only get 1 a day at most.
Doesn’t syncing every minute eat your battery?
Everything I do eats my battery. I listen to Pandora or Orb streaming all day at work, keep AIM running all the time (terrible on batt) etc etc…
I figure at this point it just doesn’t matter. If it runs low during the day, I plug it in a bit at my desk. I can chew through the storm’s battery in 4 or 5 hours if I keep everything going…
On weekends, I don’t do most of that stuff, so it lasts a full day or two.
Rumors have been flying for weeks about release dates for the upcoming BlackBerry Tour 9630 and Curve 8520 and today some new info surfaced on both. Neither of these dates are official from carriers, however BGR has said the Curve 8520 should hit T-Mobile USA sometime in Q4, and notable Verizon tipster Kevin Byrne has posted that the 9630 Tour will land on Verizon the week of July 13th. Of course it’s always possible that these timelines can change, but what we know for sure is either way these devices can’t hit the market soon enough!
