I never understood why they put the card slots in such a crappy spot. Well at least we have removable memory unlike another smart phone.
Ahh good one
anyone know if an os was leaked yet for the tour?
It’d be on crackberry, if there was.
Why? The OS it ships with is very very good. Until 5.0 is ready for release, I wouldn’t bother updating.
Anyone else having issues with BBM today? I have been having delayed messages to several different people since late this afternoon.
mine is working fine, idk if they are delayed or my friends are just slow lol
Just checked crackberry, there is an issue with all carriers.
Has anyone tried 5.0 OS for the Storm?
It’s been pissing me off for the past two days.
Yep.
for all you wifi nerds…
Uggh. My second tour is doing the same thing as the first, with the fucked up headphone port. It’s not as bad, but I have a pair of earphones I usually use at the gym that have a right-angle connector so it rotates a lot. When it rotates the phone see’s a momentary disconnect and stops the music. :wtf: It’s bad enough that I can’t use those headphones and if I wiggle a pair of straight-connector headphones it does the same thing.
Do these things have a 30 day warranty?
1 year warranty, AFAIK. Time for another trip for Verizon.
Both of my Tours worked great with headphones. Both were Canadian made though, not Mexican.
Then again, I just tried another pair I’ve got with a right-angle connector and I couldn’t get it to disconnect. I guess these damn things are just fussy. This one’s got a gold plated connector so maybe the lack of corrosion helps. :gotme:
How can you tell where it was made?
EDIT: Nevermind, found it. Mexican.
how did you tell where they were made? my earphones just arent loud at all, and lately my mouse wont move to the left for a couple minutes (feels dif like its a smooth feeling)
FYI, BBM 5 seems to be working great now.
Pull the batter and look at the sticker on the phone under the battery.
The horizontal scrolling problem is one of a few known issues with the Tour. Does your screen blur when you press buttons near it? Is your battery door really loose? Do headphones work?
Anyhow, I wonder if a different media player would fix my headphone issue. The problem is that the media player throws in the towel if it sees so much as a momentary disconnect. If they put so much as a 0.5 second time delay on the shutdown it would probably fix all but the most severe instances.
/control systems engineer.
try cleaning it (the headphone jack and trackball) lightly with rubbing alcohol
Yeah I’ll try cleaning the headphones that are giving me the most problems. If that doesn’t work, are there 3rd party media players for BB?
EDIT: Any good ones I mean? I’m sure there are 3rd party apps, but are any known as good ones?
