There we go. Simple, effective. Displays your next 3 calendar entries and first 12 apps. No support for tasks, otherwise it’d be calendar entries and tasks and only 6 apps. Maybe in time.

Just picke up a Tour for my first BB yesterday. I have things setup pretty good already (big thanks to Brent for helping me out last night).
Anyway, Im trying to figure out if there is a browser that will let me access my work email through via web access. The problem is, its a Domino Lotus notes dealeo. Opera allows me to view my messages but thats about it. The BIS wont even bring it up.
I really dont want to go to a BES since I would need to pwd protect my BB and would rather not be constantly bothered by entering in a pwd every couple mins if I get a txt msg.
Thoughts anyone? Either a way around the pwd or a browser that might be able to handle the stupid ass Lotus Domino server.

get BB redirector on your desktop. secure enterprise email while you have it turned on. its what I use.
Don’t you need to pay the extra 15 a month for BB plan on that too or is that one of those hookups we get by PMing you and asking about it?

I was more looking for something that I could use while travelling or at home. In that case my laptop would be off. So it wouldnt work.
I will look at it though. May work good around the office during the day. (although I almost always have my laptop with me, or access to it).

So I decided to try the redirector. However, when installing the Blackberry Desktop software I never get a choice to use the redirector, it simply doesnt show up.
I click on “integrate with a work email account”, which explains it can be through either a BES or using redirector. However, on the next page there is no choice to use the redirector.
The desktop software is version 5.0 that came with the BB.
Any thoughts? Does the redirector require a non Louts email server (or something) to forward the emails to me? That is my only guess so far.

Honestly, I’m not sure. I didnt install it. I came in one day to find the IT guy finishing up installing it, he had everything all set.
You do need to sync your BB with DM with a cable before it will start working though.

What’s wrong with the 8830?
I ask because tomorrow work is finally upgrading me from the ancient 8703E to the 8830 World Edition.
I’m excited, but interested in what you have to say about it. 
I am except the extreme horizontal lag and messaging lag (when I type messages there is a lag between words populating and response of the send button). Once they iron that out mine will be solid.
Got a hard case too now to protect my little guy.
Man, that sucks big time about using the 8703E. I would’ve just went out and bought my own by now… lol.
I’ve never figured out how to not fuck with things.
Upgrading to this 5.0 hybrid now…
I’ve distracted myself with other toys. Otherwise, trust me, I’d fiddle-fuck around with the Tour until I managed to break something.
I’m wary to mess with 5.0 just yet. Too many applications that don’t work with it.
