This happens a lot with ours, thankfully we have lots of broken spares, I just pop the ball piece out and replace the whole unit, good to go.

Gmail - sometimes, I have BIS hooked up to Gmail. I just use the app to search for old mail.
Weatherbug - kinda buggy, but pretty good.
Softreset - do a battery pull without… pulling the battery.
TSMobiles - a little glitchy, but a pretty ok remote desktop client.
AccelerometerDemo - nothing fancy here but it’s pretty nifty.

Nah, I do everything, minus programming. But I’m the BES admin at work, we only have ~100 users.
Same here, I think we might of broke over 100 users now that our Chicago site is up.
we are at 50 but i just put in my notice so my BES administraton days are over.
I do not envy any of you BES admin guys.
Can you get a plug in to make appointments and tasks appear on the home screen ala windows mobile?
Honestly i dont know if its cause they gave us the hardware but its always fine. Once in a while i have problems when the execs. want the new BBs for themselves but for the most part it works great. We dont restrict the users at all either so thats probably anothr headache avoided.
It syncs with the exchange server so you make an appointment on your comptuer it goes straight to your BB or vice versa without any software on your desktop
Yeah I’m just thinking about at-a-glance reminding. With a couple of plug ins I really like my winmo software, but I like the BB Curve form factor waaay better.

Yeah, most of the problems span on the connectors and mailbox agents with exchange. Especially the users with 15GB mailboxes and like, 5000+ contacts that they want to wirelessly sync.
LOL @ MS’s recommendation for mailbox size for Exchange 2003 : 50MB lol asshats.
Yeah, usually when the BES goes down, it’s either Exchange, or the blackberry network itself.
I always have my laptop & aircard on me 24/7 so if I’m not on site and I get alarms I’ll have access. Looks cool though, pretty bad ass that you could remote desktop into a server from a Blackberry.
Awesome bro, congrats! Hope it works out for ya. I spoke to a few guys who work with Ticketmaster and they said they don’t get shit for free tickets/discounts on tickets hopefully tickets.com treats their employees diff.

The only time ours has gone down was when we had a gbic fail but it didn’t failover because it was giving a false state of up.
