Out of how many of my friends I’ve seen with droid devices that after 3 months hate them because the phone just stops functioning, I can say I’m very happy with my choice of blackberry.

I’ve been on the same device and OS version for a little over a year… I think. Minimal issues, battery pull fixes whatever comes up. I can read my screen in the sunlight, I drop the thing all the time, and twitter is now direct push so I can flirt with my groupies even faster.
holy crap this new touch bold is amazing. even the browser is fast, which is so unlike blackberry…
Did you buy one or just mess around with one at the store? My Tour kept randomly shutting off this week which prompted me to check out the Verizon website, and I about creamed my pants when I saw the new Bold. I always loved the design of the Bold that was available for AT&T a few years ago, so I’m glad this one has a similar shape. I’ve always preferred a trackball, but it gets stuck constantly so I’m all for the trackpad. I’m gonna go to Verizon on monday and play around before I make a decision. $250 with a 2-year contract is a little ridiculous IMO (not that it will stop me), especially since BB needs this thing to be a success. People seem to be loving it so far though. Please be sure to keep this updated with any pros/cons you find.
I run a Verizon store
Come see me, I’ll take care of you.
I use a bold 9650 currently, trackpad is the only way to fly.
Well that is probably a good way to get your hands on one! I have to change my location, I’m back in Syracuse now unfortunately. Thanks for the offer though that would have been great! Definitely post your thoughts here though as you see more of it. I’d love to hear the opinion of someone that deals with all the new phones, not just a BB humper.
lol RIM just announced no QNX smartphones (BB10) until end of 2012. I doubt they’ll still be in business. They’re several generations behind in the smartphone industry already. By the time they get QNX out smarphones will have mind reading holographic assistants.
hah yeah, by the time q4 2012, they will be toast…they need some drastic, and fast.
They still managed to profit even with eating 500 mil of playbook shit.
they are still gaining market share in many other parts of the world.
Yeah I just saw that. Almost $20 billion in sales this year. Up 25% from last year. Wow.
This may be a terrible time to buy a RIM product, but may be a perfect time to buy RIM stock.
licensing and support for enterprise bb servers is probably a lot of their revenue
thats their bread and butter.
lol, playbooks of all sizes are on sale for $299
Not a bad deal for the 64GB

Ditched my trusty BB for a droid razr today.
I feel dirty.

RIP RIM
I honestly didn’t think RIM would live long enough to introduce a BB10 phone. I thought OS10 or whatever it’s called was just a stall tactic while they worked on selling off their assets. Looks like they’re actually bringing something new to market next month.
This shot makes it look really sharp:
THey’re finally catching on.
how long till they get sued by apple for making it look like an jesusphone
As soon as they start to achieve any modicum of success.
OMG rounded rectangle! We invented that!
