^Wasn’t overly fond of that one. Had that on moving day at Dr. Drews

Ommegang makes some solid brews though.

Yeah he introduced me to it. It’s bitter but tasty, weird mix to me.

Done it. I was not a fan. Sculpin is mild but great pepper flavor.i do have a video of my buddy drinking a ghost face killa. It was intense.

Also grapefruit Sculpin is great.

Picked up Pantius Droppus from Wegman’s along with Sam Adams Porch Rocker (for my dad) and an Ellicottville Brewing mix pack.

Do you guys poor beers into glasses or just go right out of the bottle. I’m trying to determine the best drinking experience. #BeerProblems

^depends the scenario, if I’m outside or at a friends house right out of the can/bottle. If I’m out dining somewhere then it gets a frosted glass.

I try to drink out of a glass as often as possible. Certain beer just has to be consumed from said glass…

This weekend’s selections.

Ooo blood orange. I know Resurgence has a blood orange ale as well IIRC.

Pretty much always from a glass. Most of the time from the correct glass.

Also Ethan Cox (Co-Founder of Community Beerworks) explains the glassware. I usually pour into a frosted mug myself.

I’m still an out of the bottle guy, myself…

Remember folks, frosted mugs are reserved for those beers which have zero flavor and have to be served ice cold so you don’t realize how bland they are. Colder the temp, less you taste. You can ruin a great beer by going to cold, much like a shit beer will be revealed once it is too warm.

Also, good beer is best served out of the bottle. Like wine, it reacts well to aeration to expose all the flavors and aromas.

Pffffft what would you know.

I have been craving nitro stouts which I think is a texture thing. Love em.

Really enjoy both daytime and nighttime from Lagunitas right now

Resurgence beer is gross. The only sweet part of it is the building it gets served in.

I know that yesterday was a nice day for a frosted mug and a Miller Lite.

Have you had Old Chub Nitro? I too am a huge nitro stout fan, but have grown to enjoy a nitro scotch ale just the same.

Hmm that’s interesting about the frosted glass…I probably wouldn’t bother frosting a glass for a miller lite tho…

Had a smattering of Ellicottville’s offerings in their variety pack. 2 Brothers IPA was probably my favorite.

I have not. I like the nitro scotch ales as well.

nitro = smaller bubbles = creamier texture. If I go to a bar that has something nitro on draft (aside from the obvious…) I have to try it.

yes. community beer works should reside in that building. I would be there every day haha.

its good. It’s in cans. Public house has a founders oatmeal stout on nitro draft. It was pretty great.

You’re missing the point. A very light lagered style of beer is best when served cold. Take note of how these beers are marketed (cold activated cans, trains delivering cold beer from mountain tops, etc). They want you to only drink them at these temps as it masks the fact they have zero flavor. So frosted mugs are ideal for these styles.

Lol, I totally got the point…I’m just saying it’s like building a trophy case for the “trophy” you got in T-ball…probably not worth the effort for a cheapo beer. I totally understand the concept though.

I guess I should’ve said cold glass over “frosted” glass, my apologies.
