I don’t think that Recchi “kicked” the puck in…he DID however direct the puck with his skates. In the replay, you can see that his head was right on the puck the whole time.
Also, the title of Eastern Conference Champs doesn’t come until the last remaining opponent is knocked out of the playoffs from the east
