i want ottawa to beat the wings.
i don’t htink ottawa is better than the sabres. we have speed, precise passing, great goaltending, etc. the only thing we lack is consistency, and that’s what got us.
it was still a great season, I loved every minute of it. The first 3 games of this series were very hard to watch. even though we lost, I’m glad we gave em a couple more games giving them hell.
next season. we’ll have stafford, we’ll have paetsch, prob get rid of kalinin, who knows what will happen with briere, drury and zubrus.

IF Detroit makes it, Ottawa will annihilate them. The level of play in the west is nowhere near the level it is in the Eastern.
Doesn’t matter though, because it will be Anaheim and Ottawa.
Ottawa is an amazing team. If they had goaltending, they would sweep every series in the playoffs and be a powerhouse.
Now, as for next-season…
Do we still have a chance next year? or do we lose too many players over the off-season?
The Sabres deserved to lose this series. You can’t lose 3 games at home and expect to win.
It just saddens me because I know this team is better than this. I think a lot of if got to their heads.

I agree.
I feel that maybe their heads weren’t quite fitting through doorways for the majority of the playoffs this year.
Regardless of everything that transpired in ONE series this season.
the 06/07 Buffalo Sabres get a long and well deserved standing ovation from me.
07/08 ahead. You cant be anything buy optimistic about another great run.
PS- Someone call Vanek, I think he ran away after Game 2.
(I know he had an open net at that one point, but jesus he played poorly the last 2 games.)

Well, the glory of the previous seasons was that Buffalo was merely mediocre during the regular season, and a powerhouse in the playoffs.
This time around…I think they simply frosted the cake, before baking it.
I am really curious tho if we would have scored if that Comrie didnt take out the net. That will be the only thing besides the PP that stands out in my mind at this time.
