sabres outworked them for sure. What really hurts buffalo are the defencivee breakdowns particullarly by the briere and roy lines. Those two lines play offence like theres no tomorrow but they disintegrate in the sabres zone and don’t play well at all.
Connoly although provided a huge boost in this game. Roy’s play was also excellent, im liking him even more after that check he put on in the third And i must say, throughout this loosing streak, one player that stood out as someone who stepped up to the plate is Mike Grier. Who woulda thought he has legs that can make him skate so hard. I’m impressed.
turn the defene around, keep up the effort and they are ready for the playoffs. Better them straightening the ship before getting to the playoffs
Damn… our good defenseman… now were screwed. Our defense has been in shambles for quite some time as it is, they haven’t played good in a while. Still waiting on them showing up to a game, now we lose another guy to it. 
when is hecht coming back, and who’s replacing numminen?

i didnt see the play, but all they wrote was that they “collided”…did he wind up and crack leetch in the skull or what? how do they merit a suspension for it…

ORONTO (March 30, 2006) - Buffalo Sabres forward Daniel Briere has been suspended for two games, without pay, as a result of a highsticking incident during NHL game #1075 against the Boston Bruins last night.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Briere will forfeit $19,775.52. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
The incident occurred at 10:29 of the second period when Briere struck Boston player Brian Leetch with a highstick. No penalty was assessed on the play.
Briere will miss tonight’s game at New Jersey and April 1 at Toronto.
He will be eligible to return April 3 in Toronto against the Maple Leafs.
Well ain’t that a kick in the nuts. I didn’t see the play but he isn’t a cheap player like that i find it hard to believe.

I just saw the vid and its bullshit. He got slashed by Leetch and when he fell down his stick hit leetch in the head. It was obvious that he did not mean it at all

also, ive noticed in the past couple games (regardless of the multiple goals he has scored) dumont is getting burned in the offensive zone and is allowing several odd man rushes back into the defensive zone…which is clearly where hecht is missed…
