Funny how 100 years ago that was just called “eating.” Now eating real “food” is a movement rather than nature.
I blame WWII for the Haber-Bosch process that brought us synthetic fertilizers and Nixon’s farm bill for making corn cheaper than it costs to grow it so it’s artifically jacked up the calories and down the nutrients in everything.
I’m not nearly as dedicated as you, but I try to only eat things that I could recognize in nature. Supplements excluded.
Today’s eating, which is pretty typical (or at least what I try for typical):
Smoothie for breakfast (milk, yogurt, protein powder, peanut butter, banana, blueberries)
Fruit & nuts for a snack.
Homemade turkey soup for lunch. (Boiled whole turkey with garlic, onions, rosemary, celery seed, and fennel, strained the broth, tossed the meat back in the broth, added carrots, peas, corn, celery.)
Chicken breast for a snack.
Go to the gym after work, then I think I’m going to gorge myself on a huge steak and beer tonight. It’s friday! Though the more I eat healthy the less junk food appeals. I may do a half grass fed sirloin with mushrooms and onions and some asparagus. Then go out and drink beers with cougarspeed. (Last night dinner was two whole wheat wraps of chicken breast, sour cream, avacado, and chedder cheese)
Then usually a smoothie or milk & protein and some whole fruit before bed.
