would suck to have to go through cancelling all that stuff and refunding everyone…but at this rate my car might be AWD by the time we get to have a meet lol
it would be SUPER easy to just get a shelter or two at chesnut ridge and make it a bring-your-own refreshments type of deal.
I like a Fall meet for the track, late September.
Maybe a Summer BBQ in the interum as a come if you wish deal at a park without a rental. Bring your own Food.

I will even bring a keg of Bud Light from my basement and charge $5 a cup if anyone wants beer.

That’s a nice offer but I can’t let you do that, lol. Also there are a good group of us who are really looking forward to driving our cars on the track, something we can’t do at a park!
It is not to replace the track… just something to get people out in force. We used to have several meets + trackdays + the evening stuff that is still happening. This would fill that gap.
I don’t really care about buying like $100 in hot dogs, burgers and misc stuff.

Bigger issue is that I sold my grill and it’s replacement is a NG built in… so somewhere with a grill that you do not need to reserve a space. Does Bennett beach have grills? That would be a cool place for a meet.

The U.S. Open (Big year end event for Circle Track racing, ROC mods, late models, sport mods etc) runs that weekend and they still haven’t decided if it will be a Fri, Sat, Sun event or Fri, sat with Sunday being a rain date.

Well the date for a basic BBQ would be important. I don’t want to do it in September if we’re already doing this meet, and I don’t want to do the 26th again, lol. Maybe August 19th?

The earlier in August the better. My wife is due late August early September and a BBQ without food is a pretty shitty BBQ.
