4 key items: 1) Open Bar 2) We already have a DD 3) I’m going to be in town 4) After-wedding Hot-Tub Party with more booze. These are the only thing a man needs to know about a wedding he’s invited to, other than what time does it start and even then we only need 15 mins notice. (Where? Doesn’t matter, that’s the DDs problem; Who’s getting married? Who gives a fuck with an open bar).

I won’t be able to go on the 9th but the 16th works.
Looks like the 16th is it! Although both days are showing rain on the month weather outlook at the moment, lol.

Maybe delay it a couple more times and make it a winter drift meet?
Anyone interested in a backroads cruise to the park? Only paved roads this time I promise… We don’t need any cracked suspension parts (sorry Luke_L!) And keep in mind some of these roads have TIGHT turns as kvinhTC found out.

LOL, I did enjoy the cruise out.
Total bill included replacing a blown strut, fractured clock spring, and my tail light blew out (da fuck?). It was a hard hit.

I think it had more to do with the fact the Bulb was old. Hey, it was an excuse to start collecting suspension parts. I was only pissed at the time because it felt “funny” after that shot and wasn’t sure what happened. It’s all good.
Alright, here is all the info from the first post that’s been updated, including the cruise info! (No unpaved roads or Naples Grape Fest to worry about this year
The meet is now going to happen at Letchworth State Park on Sunday September 16th at 1pm!
We’re not planning on having food or drinks there for you, so this is BRING YOUR OWN unless Mike (tpgsr) decides to cook.
We’re also not renting a shelter (the weather outlook looks dry) BUT we’ll be meeting near the same shelter as we have in the past; the Middle Falls shelter.
Since every year people seem to get lost in the park, make sure you enter the park at the PORTAGEVILLE entrance and drive to the MIDDLE FALLS area as shown in this picture:

This is a modified route from our trip in 2010 and I’ve removed any unpaved sections.
If you want to head straight to Letchworth this route isn’t for you. Yes, we’re going quite a ways out of the way. And Yes, it’s going to be long.
We’re going to do things a bit different this time but we’re not doing this with the intent to drive like assholes on unfamiliar twisty roads. Rather we’re going to take a tour of the area using roads-less-traveled. And it’s not going to be for everyone (obviously) but for those who are looking for a fun driving experience in addition to the meet.

Some points explained:
A) This is where we’ll be meeting up and meeting at 8:30am Sunday morning - Garden Place Hotel - Since it’s right near the highway, it’s a central location and easy to find because it’s obnoxious:
B) The first part of our route will take us to a convenient store & gas station so that people can fill up, grab snacks, etc. before we start off on the backroads sections. Rochester people, meet us here at 10:30am!
C) to H) These way points maximize the fun roads. Hitting them will depend on time, people’s gas levels, etc. and there are several points we can eliminate to adjust the route as necessary. It’s also important to note that I’ve pulled out the hard, unpaved roads which will make up a lot of time. And we won’t get stuck in traffic during the Naples Grape Festival (we’re doing this cruise the week before) and that will also make up A LOT of time!
