«OFFICIAL» NYSpeed Summer Meet: LETCHWORTH, Sun Sep 16th 2012

Still bumping this thread with no burnout vids? wth is wrong with you girls.

It wasn’t the goal to intentionally be a douchehat.

If I wanna watch a bunch of retards I’ll go to a WNYFbody bbq

Ditto. Sorry but burnouts are nothing new and exciting. As I have stated. Turns with ass end breaking free = more enjoyable to watch. You can do burnouts in a Prius by pulling a fuse… nothing special. Talent = catching my interest.

lol. Guess I didn’t realize the car “theme” on burnouts/heaters has changed. Excuse me.

That’s not what the WNYFbody bbq is all about. I don’t do any burnouts nor do about 95% of the people who attend. I think the burnout portion is stupid, just like you do. I’m all about hanging out with friends, shooting the breeze and eating some food. You would probably enjoy the WNYFbody bbq just the same as you did this cruise. You could pick whichever route you want to, to get there. We cruised with a group of about 15-20 cars. It’s funny how some people put it down, yet the attendance was huge. There were probably 80-100 cars there at peak. How many were at the NYSpeed summer meet? Maybe 10? 15?

That shit is soooooooo 2011

get your head out of your ass

Sorry can’t keep up with the trend! What was the trend for this year?

Nudes

BMW’s

lol no burnouts? Did you see yambag’s tire pic???

If you’re basing the Nyspeed meet that you didn’t attend based on internet content, then I am free to base my view of the wnyfbody bbq based on internet content.

I still think heaterz are sweet.

Ok fair enough. I’ve corrected you on the WNYFbody BBQ meet that you didn’t attend, by telling you there were 80-100 cars there. There were also probably around 150-200 people and a ton of food. Hard to count as cars would roll in and leave all day long, but I’m sure anyone that was there will agree, it was well attended.

So, correct me on the attendance of the NYspeed meet, since all I have to go on are a few pics of bald tires. How many cars? How many people?

+1

Always have and always will. With that said there’s obviously a place and time for everything though.

Certainly less than 100 cars. Maybe there were 30.

I’m not saying the nyspeed bbq was better than the wnyfbody one, but if I had to classify one meet vs the other (without actually going to the fbody one):

Nyspeed meet: people who used to be into cars, grew up.

Fbody meet: People who have changed very little, probably since high school, or just are young. Also associate some type of social status with car/mods/speed

Not saying one is better, but I know I’m pretty much right.

Also, burnouts are cool, still. But not in a public park where other people are trying to enjoy nature. I may have at one time, but my maturity level must have changed, slightly, along the way…

Amen. Like a king watching jesters roll through. NEXT.

This is a automotive site, is it not? Should we not be interested in cars anymore?

Well, the young part I will disagree with. I’d say that the vast majority of the people there were 25-30ish, unless you consider that young. There were a few people under 20, and a few people over 60. As far as “changed very little”, if you mean their interests, you might be correct. I’ve always loved cars, dirt bikes, pretty much anything with an engine, I don’t see that stopping anytime soon. Should I have outgrown that phase? I’d venture to say that everyone there likes cars as well. I go to the track and I see people in their 60’s and 70’s still doing it. Probably enjoying it a whole lot more now that they are retired. If you meant “changed very little” as in moved on with their life and left the car culture behind, I’ll disagree with you again. It’s easy to do both. It’s just a bbq. Drive your hot rod there and hangout, it’s not a big commitment. Just because you no longer have the interest that you used to have, doesn’t make the people that still have an interest in it wrong. Social status based on car mods? I doubt it.

I totally agree with you on the burnout part. I left and just cruised out. If there were no cameras rolling and nobody standing by the road, I bet you wouldn’t have heard anything.

Since there are a handful of people reveling in the perceived notion that this meet was a failure due to a turnout of less than 1,000 people, I guess I need to invite you to read the thread over again.

If you want to rate a meet that was intentionally down-scaled (due to frustrations over multiple date conflicts, racetrack’s fault not ours) by how many people showed up, I’m cool with that. But you might sound silly.

I had fun.

I had the day off and I ate food. Prior to that, I drove with the top down, on awesome roads.

I don’t see an issue here at all?
