«OFFICIAL» NYSpeed Summer Meet: LETCHWORTH, Sun Sep 16th 2012

It’s too late for a summer kickoff and I know we don’t have the personal time to really plan two highly coordinated events, however we could just do Letchworth as a simple Sunday cruise.

We wouldn’t rent a pavilion, cater any food or pay for a liquor license. But we could just pick a date and drive out there for fun, bring your own food style. What do you think about that?

Sunday, August 22nd, huh?

^^ Good catch. Meant 26th

Josh that’s exactly what I was thinking. Everyone brings their own food to eat, we bring some lawn chairs and just make it a fun chill day.

Well, if it’s not the 26th I’m out. Family plans already the 12th and 19th.

fuck.
None works for me.

I know I will be in Buffalo one weekend in August. I’ll keep an eye on this and see if the weekends match up. Probably won’t track it, but it would be fun to stop by. Plus I might have some more goodies on the car by then.

^ I’m with this guy…

I like Pre and Post meets. Pre, laid back. Post, racing gets you laid.

August works for me. Voted.

I’m totally down for that.

although the July dates were going to make it hard for me to come…the car will most likely be apart and I don’t know if the bike is going to be done…with an august date, I should absolutely have the bike AND car done-ish to come out…maybe even the '74 challenger will be painted by then

No! must pick a different date then! lol

looking at the latest design I have one idea: If you put a wall of cones where the yellow “flow” is on the right side of the track as you drive it would make the racing line a lot more technical (punishing if wrong) and keep speeds down entering the next tight section.

This poll will be up for at least a week so more people will have a chance to have their say.

I’m not seeing what you’re seeing, lol. Draw it out?

We don’t want this layout to turn into a glorified Auto-X so as long as it flows well we’re open to suggestions.

as long as it’s not too tight. I like the idea of more turns to make a tight technical section along with the outer high speed area. certainly not an autoX, think of it like the jog on the front strait of dunnville.

That might work, but we’d need to see it when we’re there. I can’t remember how wide that area is.

no way in hell that area is wide enough to do that. nor long enough.

Yeah I don’t think there is much more we can do to this track to make it more technical.

It’s going to be fun regardless and a good day for shake-down / lapping

Would prefer not August 12. Want to do SCCA at the Ralph.

Vote in the poll then!

(you posted in the 1/4 mile thread, I moved your post to here)

I would like to get in on the lapping this year, seems like this will be fast autocross speeds, maybe 70 mph at the end of the straight?
