«OFFICIAL» NYSpeed Summer Meet: LETCHWORTH, Sun Sep 16th 2012

The car is on the road and drives great. But, a slightly worn rear shock and a tweaked cross member proves troublesome on hard left handers…wheel rub. I’m going to try and get it buttoned up and track it. If not, i’ll at least come hang out.

Remember we’re not driving competitively here so there isn’t any real reason to push your car too much, but you certainly do want it to drive in a predictable manner.

I’m 99% sure I’ll be in for lapping and food. When I get out of work I’ll check and pre-pay

I assume convertible without roll bar is okay since this isn’t competitive lapping? Helmet only as per the guidelines?

dammit, I really gotta get movin in the garage…I wanna have the focus done for this…

Yeah we’re not going to force you to buy a roll bar for this. EMTs will be there in case you flip, but I recommend not flipping

Paid and looking forward to it

so since there are only 20 available unlimited food/bev tickets… is it a problem for someone to bring say a mini-hibachi style grill to throw a pack of hotdogs on for their own snack? what about outside beverages (besides beer that is)? can I show up with a pack of hotdogs, buns, and a 6pk of mountain dew if I want?

You’re not allowed to bring your own food & drinks. If you miss out on the food package the concessions are still going to be open & selling the same stuff, just more expensively.

Only 15 unlimited food & drink spots left at this point too.

Registered for lapping and unlimited food

Ah Fiddlesticks!

^ quit being a vagina lol, sign up!

no monies until the 15th unless I sell off some of the parts I took off the focus and listed on CL (fenders)…or if my dad decides to pay me for that clusterfuck of a suspension overhaul I did on his PT loser.

Tell your dad to pay up!

So I’ve had a few PMs asking if this was the type of thing where cars would be running side-by-side and potentially hitting each other… that’s NOT the case. For those that were not around in the Dunnville days, this is simply lapping and having fun NOT Days of Thunder

Rubbins racin. You kinda look like Cole Trickle. You can call me Rowdy.

put me down for unlimited Zimas

What’s this track like compared to something like Dunnville? Worth lapping?

It’s certainly no Dunnville but it’s bigger than I thought. Here’s a photoshop putting the two together at 100m satellite resolution.

Yeah it’s not huge but it’s certainly worth while to lap. When you’re standing out there it’s easier to see.

what about for peoples cars that don’t turn so hot?
