worst 2 miles ever last night

That’s why it’s a 3yr plan. Next year come spring I’m going to nail down a handful of sprint tri’s and find my fail and go from ghere.

^Good news is, I am approved to run again! Bad news is, I stepped on a 2x4 with a giant nail sticking out of it at Chestnut Ridge this past week, my left foot is fahked. I head to Europe for 3 weeks on Wednesday, looking forward to kicking it back off upon return!

Oh man for sure. I use to be able to rip of 20min 5k’s without issues… But a 30min 5k is not easy right now.

So I’ve gone for exactly one run since January. Who is going to stumble through the Strides for Stewart 5k Saturday morning with me?

It’s part of the festivities to open the new Miracle League field at Veterans park, which is a softball field for the handicapped. If there’s not beer at the finish line then we’ll be running right past my house so we can grab a cooler and cross the finish line with beer. :allthatisman:

ran 2 on the treadmill, mostly steady 6mph pace, did a light rehab chest/back superset workout being gentile on the elbow I tore up a while back that I still feel loading my chest, and then another 1.25mi pushing the pace past 8mph for quite a bit of that.

Ha. Running. I’ve gone for exactly one run since the Canisius Chilly Challenge in January, yet somehow I’ve still landed myself in PT for an old knee injury. I think I’ll stick to lifting heavy crap.

Saw the Redbull tent, the Berts Bikes trailer, and the Buffalo Triathlon trailer at the water front last night by the small boat harbor when I went for a quick 3.5ish mi run as the sun was setting.

I wish! I have to work tonight though. You don’t need to be really trained for that just go slow and walk when you need it…well ok you need to be kinda trained. Whatever you do don’t gas out first half because there is just no recovering. I wish I would have ran this I think I could do a ~2hr 1/2 right now.

I stopped having to go to PT once I topped lifting heavy stuff. :frowning:

I jammed out 7mi this morning after working overnight. Plan to jam a nice 13-15mi in the next 2-3 days which is why I wish I would have just made time for that 1/2 marathon. Damnit.

cougar i come home on thursday, looking forward to training again! did 2 days of hiking in the alps to 2700m, that took care of legs!

i’m going to do the army ten miler in DC in a couple weeks…haven’t run in months, but i have determined that i can more or less run 10-15 miles at a 9 minute pace without any trouble…so as long as i can beat the 5 mile cutoff i’ll be all good
