I cant believe i’ve never seen this thread before, but i really commend all of you for the passion i see in here. Powerful.
The other day I sliced up some leftover honey mustard pork tenderloin, slapped it on some of the Wegmans olive oil rosemary bread, and topped it with swiss. Put it in the toaster til the cheese melts, sooo good.
It’s the best hangover meal I’ve come across so far I think<3
Bored with my lunches lately and I need some new ideas.
This is one of my favorites passed down from my Dad: 6-8 slices of Wegmans hard salami microwaved so it is a bit crispy, white or wheat toast with mayo… simple and awesome.
This is my favorite sandwich to make. Watching the movie Spanglish on TBS one fine evening and Adam Sandler plays a chef in the movie, he makes the sandwich in the movie and it looked delicious. Also if you have never cooked bacon in the oven it turns out great  put tinfoil down for easy clean up.
Looks something like this:
Spanglish" Adam’s Sandwich
Claud and the gang certainly agree that “Adam’s Sandwich” is the best food sequence ever to be seen in a movie. Sit back and relax as they pay homage to famed culinary mind, Thomas Keller and his twist on the classic BLT.
•8 thick slices of apple wood smoked, center-cut bacon
•4 slices of good Monterey Jack cheese
•4 thick slices of rustic white bread, toasted and still hot
•2+ tablespoons mayonnaise
•6 ripe tomato slices
•4 leaves of butter lettuce
•2 teaspoons unsalted butter
•2 large, very fresh eggs
Directions:
-
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
-
Arrange bacon strips on a cookie sheet and roast about 20 minutes until crisp, turning once. Drain on paper towels and keep warm.
-
Heat an 8 to 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-low heat for 2 minutes. Carefully crack the eggs into separate ramekins, taking care not to break the yolks. Add butter to the skillet and swirl to coat the pan. When the foam subsides carefully pour eggs into the pan one at a time. Cover and cook the eggs for two minutes for runny yolks, or two and a half minutes for soft and creamy yolks that are still a little runny.
-
While the eggs are cooking, place the Monterey Jack cheese slices on two of the pieces of toast and pop into the oven to melt the cheese until just melted. Meanwhile, spread the mayonnaise on the other two slices of toast, and then top those with the bacon, tomato and lettuce. Slide the egg onto the lettuce centered in the middle of the sandwich. Top the sandwiches with the toast with the now melted cheese and cut in half to release the yolks of the cooked egg
I like this
Another food thread that I have to own. Ugh this is getting exhausting
I know what my wife is making me for lunch today!
Just finished this, the staple of my dinners each week, Frank’s chicken sandwich. Marinate chicken in Frank’s, bread it, toss it in the oven, throw some mozzarella on top for the last 5 minutes, and top it off with a little more Frank’s. Simple but gets the job done.

My wife owns a sandwich shop/cafe in Lockport so I eat sandwiches all the time.
I can’t say much for the presentation, it’s what Chef Ramsay would describe as a culinary abortion, but I’d be willing to taste it.

I just checked out the site, looks awesome! Will be taking a stop out there, probably buy 3 or 4 things off the menu to try. Def gonna ride the bike out there this summer.
Haha yeah wasn’t going for presentation points. I just slather it in Frank’s and enjoy. I love it because it’s easy for me to make and hits the spot, probably wouldn’t survive a day on any legit menu though.
For livin4hockey and Futurama fans…
Morbo: The challenger’s ugly food has shown us that even hideous things can be sweet on the inside.
Just ate this beast the other day for dinner
