Seen Onyx, Newman and a red bmw down at the harbor yesterday. NO skis tho:tif:

fixed

@SOLITUDE we were there so @newman could get pictures of his car. @bing and @GV1390 were there as well.

No skis because the water is still a bit too cold (54 when I checked yesterday) and the docks / bathrooms don’t open until next weekend for Memorial Day.

I did take this shot though:

My skis have been on our drive on docks for the last two 2.5 weeks. Water is chilly, but I got one of them “couch” skis, so it’s a nice dry ride. Did some shake down runs on the west river. Still only seeing 70.xmph with the machined ride plate. Handles a lot better though. I’m going to start playing with some different pitched props. I’m on the limiter, so I think a 13/20 prop should bring the revs down, and top speed up to 72-74mph. Then the stock intercooler and ecu go bye bye.

Damn that’s moving. I max out somewhere in the 40’s, lol.

Im hitting about 65 or so on the gps and that feels like a rocket… hopefully with some mods ill be close to 75:tup:

I had one of those turbo Honda skis. R12X. I never saw over 63mph on gps. The guys that put a bunch of money in them (H2o turbo kits and shit) are only hitting like 70. They are great skis though. Good on fuel, handle fucking awesome, reliable.

I picked up a minty 05 RXT couch last summer. Haven’t had it out on the water but excited to see how it is compared to my gp1300r.

Ya im somewhere in the neighborhood… Its a great ski tho I am extremely happy so far.

Post some pics of your skis guys. Have any of you modded them at all?

I’m probably not going to mod the engine but I’m definitely getting an intake grate so I can hook up better.

Jay S just welded up my charge pipe for my Tial Bov. Alot of guys with my model ski actually cut veins off the stock intake great and knife edge it and apparently it does make a big difference.

I actually just bought a scooped intake similar to this one. My hull is really flat and rides high so if there are lots of medium waves I can’t really get anywhere, lol. @King and I are close as far as top speed when it’s calm but if it’s choppy at all I can only do half what his couch can do. This is supposed to help by scooping the water in and also adds a bit more braking when letting off the throttle. We’ll see.

I have this for sale: 2009 Yamaha VX Cruiser -19 hours. With trailer. Stupid clean (as it should be with 19 hours). I seem to recall being able to get close to 60mph with it but it’s been a while… Asking $6k, finders fee for anyone who can refer someone.

Those seats look COMFORTABLE. Sounds like you never used it. Trailer included?

Seats are very comfortable indeed. Trailer is included

bought it new, most of the hours were done to accomplish the factory break in before the first service. It sat on a floating dock for about three summers and then in my garage since 2012

looks nice! looking forward to some warmer weather - forgot i had a jetski…wouldnt mind getting out there.

I wonder if anyone local can repitch props… Save a bunch of money vs going out and buying.

Yeah, I bet Pier Propeller could.

Pier propeller re pitched a stainless 3 blade boat prop for me a few years ago.

I can find props for my ski for about $200. @JayS how much did yours cost to re-pitch? Granted it was much larger.
