Yeah, it’s a really nice spot actually. The water was really clear and calm. But also REALLY shallow in places with large rocks. Andy had them marked though.

Bump for @91MR2
Thanks man!
I just bought one of these to launch and retrieve at the beach:
My backyard marina consists of a 2004 Honda R12, a 2000 Polaris SLX 1200, a 1997 Polaris Pro 785, and soon to be a 2000 Glastron 249…
Should probably start on getting prepared for the season.
Just pulled my boat out of storage Saturday, picking up my Niawanda launch permit today and will probably be in the water Sunday.
Mine is over at Drydock on Transit getting a new floor. Should be done in a few days.
onyx, have you done a flip on that thing yet?
Got her fired up after a wiring snafu.
Slip reserved down at Erie Basin, will drop it in after a Florida get-away
Changed the paint up, new floor/carpeting, upholstery, Bluetooth headunit and new speakers.
Unintentionally, yes.
Does your boat have a bathroom? If it does just be careful at the pump out at Erie Basin. I don’t think they have floating docks so they’re higher than you’d think, and last year the girl working pulled my friend and I into it and it broke off an anchor drain.
Here’s my junk:
14 Yamaha FX SVHO
GPS’d it bone stock:
Should be interesting to see what she does once I start throwing mods into it. First on the list is new machines ride plate.
Nice. I have an old Garmin GPS that I want to mount to mine. But I think I’ll be in the low 40mph range, if that!
No bathroom on board. Got it into the slip yesterday with the help of my dudes.
Badass boat.
I just rented a jetski out of Dana Point Harbor here in CA with an old friend that was in town. I tell you man, after about an hour on a Jetski you are pretty set for a good year or so. I think I’d really only be happy with a stand-up…
Yeah the “couches” are great for long distance / speed but the smaller ones are more enjoyable IMO. I assume you rented a 2 or 3 man?
There was a day last summer when I was at Sunset Bay and it was super wavy. Not a soul was out on the water except for me jumping every other wave. I can’t wait to do it again this summer
BTW, do you guys want to setup an NYSpeed lake meet? Or maybe meet at Woodlawn on a Sunday?
Yeah it was all they had. I tried as hard as I could to beat the piss out of that thing, but it got old after about 45 minutes. A stand up would be awesome (personally.)
This thing had some guts though, as it was really new and nice. Topped around 55.
If you want to try a stand up my friend has an older one that if you threw him a couple bucks he’d let you try out. Same goes for @GV1390
Rentals are usually 2 or 3 seaters from what I’ve seen. Last year @bing and I rented this at Wasaga Beach and he proceeded to throw himself off (intentionally) while at full speed. He found out the hard way that it hurts, lol.
I sincerely appreciate the offer. I will definitely be talking to you about standup leads when I mosey back to NY here eventually … but I have to say, as time goes on, I find myself enjoying it out here more and more.
I don’t have the balls to throw myself off at speed anymore. My uncle scarred me for life on tubes behind our old Sea Ray as a little kid. I swear he wanted to kill me. Twisted old fuck.
Yeah @King and I did an adult-level tube pull last summer with his ski… that’s WAY sketchier than riding a standup IMO.
Sundays at Woodlawn would be ausome:tup:
