«OFFICIAL» Watercraft / Jet Ski / PWC Thread + Boats

ouch.

If she let go it would probably be an easy landing. But if she continued to hold on…

I REALLY want to see how that ends

Debating if we’re going out tonight or not. Lots of storms popping up on radar. I’ve got 15 minutes to decide.

I’ve been watching it too. I think it’ll rain a little but it’s mostly going to be nice. I’m debating going out myself.

We went and it was PERFECT! Almost no boats and the west river was like glass. Got some great wakeboarding and tubing in.

After several tries gave up on having my over propped 135hp boat get me out of the water on a slightly undersized for my weight slalom ski. Probably took in a solid gallon of Niagara River up my nose being dragged.

I didn’t make it out :frowning:

Tossed my snorkel gear on to check out the boat repair and you can’t even tell it was repaired. to Dr Gelcoat. He’s a pretty weird dude but does great work.

Today was a busy day out there…saw Dave (Solitude) out there…he shreds out there on that Honda…

Is this thread the reason we did not have a car meet this year? Do I need to buy a boat?

I would say I’ve spent at least 75% of my weekend/free days either on my boat or jetski rather than either messing with my cars or bike for that matter, this year, and for a couple of my friends I’d say it’s been close to the same for them. I’ve been out on the boat about 9x and the jetski at least 10x. At least I get some use out of them while the weather is good.

Ok, so it is time to address my fuel issue now…had a scary moment yest. on the Sea Doo when my fuel cut issue caused me to lose steering under what was at the time, decent throttle…just ordered a new fuel petcock, and going to have Anchor Marine install it and do a once over on the machine to see if there is anything they else they see that may need attention. They quoted me around $150 which is worth the piece of mind for me now…

I tow my ski with my bmw so I can enjoy both in the same day!

I am using my '08 Si for the same duty…

I have a 96 Jeep cherokee for a tow vehicle but it still can’t pull my boat lol

27 pages of watercraft thread in the bike forum… le sigh

Read the fine print under the forum title

Spent some time in Muskoka this weekend and finally managed to get a top speed for my ski. I went out at dusk when the water was calm, but I also had a full tank of gas. Not that this is anything fast, just that I know I could squeeze a little more out of this tiny ski:

^^^
You can tell me all about it at the ANNUAL CAR MEET…since this is (was) a CAR centered forum

I am still learning what is fast on these little old machines like ours…the Sea Doo folks with my type of machine seem to be in the same MPH range, though I have never measured mine…too busy worrying about getting it reliable…either way, it does not seem that fast on glassy water, but man, hitting waves on these tippy guys at WOT…

Hitting waves is the point @91MR2!
