Cobalt SS
which isnt comfortable and ride isnt that amazing IMO
Civic/Integra anyone? :dunno:
That’s a $13k car, lots of stuff i’d rather have. We’re talking $3000ish.
The hondas are a lot more expensive for the same model year, and only the GS-R has more power.
13k for a car isn’t much at all for a brand new car
some people dont like to spend money…the way i look at it you can’t take it to the grave with ya

You could buy a swapped B series civic for 6k or less easy
overall, Cobalt SS > neon (including SRT) all day long
Id rather have the turbo over the blower anyway. swapping pulleys for boost is a pain in the ass
The actual swapping of the pulley aint shit…like 15 minutes worth of work. tuning ang everything else (supporting mods) is a pain in the ass.
I’m surprised that the GM guys aren’t arguing that the cavalier/sunflower is better.
Gotta have the money to spend it.
There’s stuff i’d rather have for 6k that isin’t a honda or a neon though.
well the fact that to up the boost on a turbo, you turn a knob. to change boost on a supercharger you have to take the belt off, remove the bolt out of the pully, attach the puller, pull the pulley, press the pulley back on, put the bolt back in, and then put the belt back on.
get off GM’s nuts.
not to mention with an exlectronic boost controller you can change boost levels from inside the car with the push of a button
soo why did u trade ur turbo set up for a s/c set up?
not riding nuts…yes turbo is easier…but changing a pulley is not a PITA
because of the oil return issues and how on edge the car felt without the swaybar. i have no reason to increase boost on my car where im at anyway, im getting close to the max of my block, so adding boost would be bad for me. i like the supercharger alot, but i bet that car will eventually be turbo again.
it’s enough of a pain. haha. especially when you have to track someone down with a puller
True…getting a pulley puller is a pita.
I never drove a turbo car (well one that was fast) but from what I hear I think I would like the S/C power better…more low end and less lag.
its all about turbo sizing. a correctly sized turbo to the application is a fun car with minimal lag.
i was driving a 6spd 07 Saab 9-3 Aero around the other day. such a fun car.
in the end
its still a neon!
