Ok, i always see oil catch can’s for sale, and well i don’t no what it is. I 've tried finding out, but everywhere i look they assume you know wat it is. Now i was thinking it was kinda like a extra oil resovoir or something. What does it do?
an oil catch can catches the oil vapor that goes through your pcv valve so the oil doesn’t go into the intake
I c, so it makes ur engine run cleaner. so this is more of upgrade for turbo cars?
More so yes, but you would still benefit from it on your NA car.
cool
if ur motor is healthy and runs good u dont need a catch can.
if ur motor has blowby and is loosing oil through the valve cover outlet then u need one.
so when ur mounting this, you basically put it where, before the pcv valve? Or are there better places or better arrangments.
Healthy or not, all motors will have crankcase pressure which creates oil vapor that makes its way into the valve cover so there is always oil vapor in there. A worn engine just amplifies the issue.
I recommend running one if your car sees lots of track duty.
good post i had no idea what they were for either.
