5-7k on the m3… its ~ 110 bux an oil change, and the manual says to do it every 15k… sooo i half that…
2700-2800ish
OEM filter and Mobil1
Brand new car/engine…I will change it at 1000 miles, which is soon, and 3000 after that
lots of people wasting lots of money around hurrrr…
I do the cobalt at three thousand. My father does Mobil one and Mobil one filter in the stang every three months(waste of money imho). It has less then 4,000 miles on it
you need to start shopping from tischer, I just did a complete oil change, wiper blades, air filter and cabin filter for that price
but I do mine about every 10k.
Usually I will use synthetic and go 10,000. 5,000 on regular oil, although I’ve just gone about 10,000 on semi-syn. after a brain lapse. My driving is mostly easy highway though so I’m not too worried.
Synthetic 3500-4000 miles on the GTO, less if I’ve hit a track day.
Conventional every 3500-4000 miles on the Expedition, less if I take a real long road trip towing the boat.
I drive my cars hard and I know it. Personally I think these longer and longer intervals are allowing politics to influence what engineers think is best for your engine.
every 2 weeks, getting bored at valvoline is easy
Whenever the DIC tells me I’m at about 10% oil life , which equals between 3.5 - 4k miles.
Depends on the car guys…
Read your owners manual…
My saturn has an OLM on it, but I change it every 5k.
My blackstone results have been great at 5k, but I want to change it at 5k anyways.
Anything less than 3-4k is wasting your time and money.
4000-5000 on the daily.
200-500 on the trackers.
6k-7k on the Subaru, and it runs like a top.
Since I have no garage I change it when I get the chance. Last time 2400 miles, the time before that ~3350 and so far thats all the mileage I’ve put on the car since I got it.
Typically 3000-3500.
Use synthetic, change @ 5000 on Titan & 3000 on Toy.
I love the people that are “sure” long intervals are bad, yet don’t ever do the testing to support it :mamoru:
Blackstone is so cheap, its worth the money it will save you in extended intervals.
tis tru ive only changed the oil once since ive owned the car… and it was in teh middle of the winter so i had to pay the dealershit to do it…
Every two track weekends on the engine & trans and diff (trans and diff are one casing). Or every 3000 miles of street driving. The daily’s go more than that at times, which has bitten me in the ass.
3-3.5 on the daily.
The race hatch gets new oil when the engine blows.
