Im getting ready to put my engine back together soon, its at the machine shop now. the goal is 350-400hp. Its a KA-T project I don’t want to run the engine past its original redline so keep that in mind in the answer. Im having a hard time deciding on the way I should go about running the oil. Im not sure to leave the stock pump as is, Get a new one, Shim it, get the nimso springs for it or buy a toga high volume one, or some other brand, I don’t really trust aftermarket stuff too much on vital engine internals like this. Any suggestions?
The bottom end is getting Bored/Honed/Hot Tanked, More importantly Its getting new bearings, Wiseco Pistons, Eagle Rods, The crank is being Polished, Chamfered and Balanced. My first KA build. Any help would be greatly appreciated I don’t want this engine to blow after all the money put into it. Thanks.
