OMG Skunk does a DIY!!11!!

Well been looking into doing some small things to the car, and figured if i did it myself…i would save some money…and i finally got around to doing this with the amazing help from jesse (Muscle50)

So the project begins:

As you can see from the close up…I have the black kidney grill with chrome surrounding it, which you will see on most BMW’s.

Another thing that you might not see on all BMW’s is the Lower grille on the bumper painted the same color as the car. Didn’t really like that too much, since the grille is supposed to be black

amd here is the shot of both…

So jesse and i lift the car a bit…remove the lower grille and the kidney grill

I then removed the chrome pieces from the kidney grill

Once they were all off…we got a scuff pad and sand paper and started going towards the garage so we can start sanding all the pieces down. On the short walk towards the garage…i got side tracked…

QUACK!

After getting off course for a few minutes…the walk to the garage continued. We sanded all the pieces and grabbed the black primer and went to town…

After a few coats of primer…it sat for a while…then we sprayed the semi gloss paint. Afterwards it sat for about 2 hours or so…and once everything was nice and dry, we then walked back to the car…and put everything back on

The Finished Product:

All in all…it was an easy project, and it saved me a good chunk of change. A day well spent…and again…GIANT! to jesse for helping me out once again

Aaron, I’ve never been so proud of you. You have come along way from not knowing how to install a intake in that car!

Quack … Hi Jeffy

much improved!

maybe spray some black on the 2 supports for the lip too?

whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa …

muscle50 did something that involved a PARKED car ???

i call bullshit … he only leaves the house if theres a race set up  j/k

looks good dude, is there supposed to something that fills the holes next to the foglights ? they look like they are missing something with the way the edge of the bumper is shaped there

nawww…gonna keep those as they are

they are actually supposed to be like that…kind of dumb, but oh well. They have pieces to fill them…but jesse and i were actually discussing this and we have something in mind to fill those up

On the driver’s side, the air intake sits right there. I don’t believe there is supposed to be anything

MUCH BETTER

I call april fools day on this one, the last time you tried doing something yourself, you neglected to mention that your battery terminals were switched and we almost burned your stang to the ground

BWHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!

good job skunky. Almost makes me want to post some DIY’s up. what’s next?

doing pads rotors and throwing the wheels on probably within the next week or so

looks good bro

you just earned a reach around

i can order a sticker for emblem…they are black and white. I was thinking about it. Maybe i will order them…

i say do it . will go good with the new black paint and your headlights looked smoked  that with the yellow…all about contrast
